  1. Weddings! I’ve witnessed more fights at these ‘joyous occasions’ than pubs.
  2. I’d put up with a little hassle right now if I could gig or even rehearse.
  3. It could be a relaxing of lockdown present to myself. If it comes with a free jar to put my detached testes in, I’ll order it! 😖
  4. Pre owned Metro. I played it a couple of months back before you know what, I was hoping to be underwhelmed, but that was not to be. I really don’t need it, I have 3 perfectly lovely Maruszczyks (2 of them custom) and an SBP2 pedal for that ‘sprinkle of fairy dust’, but....
  5. I keep looking at this one, I really don’t need it, especially as I don’t play fivers these days. However, GAS is a cruel mistress.
  6. Robert keeping it all very formal with a collar and tie, whilst Toyah’s top is struggling to keep her chest contained. Nice garden they have there.
  7. I watched the Shadows at 60 program last night and thought it was good. It seemed to be well put together, rather than the usual Beeb cobbling together of old, unconnected footage.
  8. Guy’s so slick that he can swap basses mid solo without missing a note 😁.
  9. I took delivery of a Focusrite Scarlett Solo the other day (inspired by my initial recording attempts with the SC but realising its limitations) so here is that comparison you were after. All samples are dry followed with the SBP2 added, basses are: MM type fretless fingerstyle; J type fingerstyle; J type with pick; P type fingerstyle; P type with pick. As ever, apologies for the playing. EDIT: SBP controls are set: bass and vol at 12 o’clock, treble at 1 o’clock.
  10. I sometimes wish I’d shown the same resilience with my old Roscoe Beck signature.
  11. I’ll go back and fix 😁 I added the players too.
  12. In addition to the above, I'll add: 1. Gutter Cat - Alice Cooper (Dennis Dunaway) 5. Ramble On - Led Zeppelin (John Paul Jones) 13. Hair - Graham Central Station (Larry Graham) Nice collection basses you have there.
  13. With the Sessioncake deal, I now have another retailer in my list, that I was previously unaware of, which may be true for a good many others who bought one.
  14. That’s a fantastic way to introduce yourself to the forum, good work, sir.
  15. I’m very impressed with mine, I even did a bit of iPad recording with it for a collaboration project. However, I had to use my Rob Allen (which has a very hot output) to get a decent line level and some proper low end. This has now spurred me on to order a proper USB recording interface (arrives today) but the ‘cake will remain as a practise tool because of it’s simplicity and silent operation. All this means I’ll reckon I’ll definitely be moving on my Phil Jones Cub once we can move around freely again. Much kudos to @krispn for bringing this to our attention in the first place 👏👏👏.
  16. Very, very nice and IMO this is certainly deserving of being at home in the build diaries forum.
  17. 🤢 Man, that is nasty! Fingers crossed for a good heal.
  18. From ‘Maybe I Should’ve Stayed In Bed’, another very well written, laugh out loud read; thoroughly recommended.
  19. He’s not been well as I understand it, so he’s behind with his correspondence. 😁 Our post times vary here anyway, so it’s not been any different. Lady Ez had a text from Parcelforce stating a specific delivery time the other day, but I wasn’t surprised when it was a fair bit later (I’ve had these texts only to have the item delivered much earlier). My thanks and admiration goes out to all posties, bin men, etc for maintaining some sort of normality and doing their jobs whilst I sit around and surf all day. 🙏👏👏👏
  20. A cheaper version is available https://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_artist_line_sklarbass_i_bbthp.htm
  21. What’s going on here? They just can’t use my user name like that! Especially as mine was first and in no way is supposed to be pronounced ee-zee. Expect to hear from my lawyer. 😡
  22. Ooh, that’s gonna be nice and punchy.
  23. The guy who taught me my first chords and probably inspired me to actually play guitar in the first place had an Eko Ranger 6, I thought it was the most amazing thing ever and lusted after one for years.
