  1. The king and queens of the earworm. 🙉
  2. They weren’t even original in their thinking, using that system previously and probably most famously (especially from a bassist’s POV) pioneered by the Berry Gordy school of pop production (and I suppose Phil Spector).
  3. I’m sure that there’s a whole bunch of BCers who’d be interested to see some of this pottery within the OT pages. We are, if nothing else, an eclectic bunch.
  4. Ah ha! A quality quilt, tender timber affecting the timbre. Ooh, is that my coat? S’alright, I get it myself. Yeah, it doesn’t make much sense, but it’s the low level of my lockdown humour* (*for a value of humour).
  5. “That old thing, I’ve had it for ages. It’s the reason I bought that new white one.” You’re welcome.
  6. I found it a natural transition. However, all my fretless basses have been lined, which may have helped, but I’ve also played unlined which wasn’t hugely different. But it doesn’t matter if any of us found it hard or easy, what’s important is that you’ll have one of those beauties. 😉
  7. I tried to watch it, but eventually it all got too painful. It felt like something someone sends to an ex in the wee small hours, after too many beers. Get over yourself, you sad man.
  8. Gig meets demolition derby. I feel you're onto something here.
  9. I’m curious about the patch on his studio ceiling. Man alive, I need to get out more!
  10. I feel you’re poking the bear, but it was a particularly bad pun on my part, so I’ll let it pass 😁.
  11. Drive-in gig in Sydney. Also, It seems Keith Urban did a drive-in gig in the US. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-52749186?ns_mchannel=social&ns_source=twitter&ns_campaign=bbc_live&ns_linkname=5ec5f43dd8c22c0653b2f681%26Drive-in concerts kick off in Australia%262020-05-21T03%3A36%3A50%2B00%3A00&ns_fee=0&pinned_post_locator=urn:asset:44b6cb2a-5508-4d8c-b74c-29d1e0d30b02&pinned_post_asset_id=5ec5f43dd8c22c0653b2f681&pinned_post_type=share
  12. You’re saying the timber affected the timbre. Sorry, we know wood affects tone, but I couldn’t resist the play on words.😂
  13. Good work, very prompt. Oh yeah, WOW! 😱
  14. Wow, that was quick! It was obviously meant to be, as these beasts don't come along very often; congrats. However, there is kind of an unwritten rule around these parts, we even have an emoji for it...
  15. C'mon this is BC, you should know better 😂. To paraphrase an old saying, put 2 BCers in one thread and get 3 points of view.
  16. I think they did this somewhere in Scandinavia (I want to say Denmark). Given that the drive-in movie is a very US thing anyway, you'd think that would be their first move.
  17. That is good news. Hopefully, it'll now be run a bit more sympathetically and efficiently.
  18. I use the 45-100 set and have a drop D tuner, sounds and feels fine.
  19. A new member arrives and already has GAS. You’re going to fit right in.
  20. That property is immense! Lee must’ve earned an absolute packet through the ‘70s in order to buy that, even if he had to mortgage. Great place to decompress after a tour and not a bad place to be in lockdown. His basset hounds are wonderfully daft.
  21. And I’d agree with you. Once Upon A Time In The West is such a great opener, such controlled, understated playing. That album also contains my favourite DS track ever, Single Handed Sailor.
