  1. ?I am after one anyone know where i can get one.
  2. Not having much luck and it won't be happening to day anyway, the RCA connectors need to be connected up to a v amp or Pedal as far as i can see ..Looky here.
  3. I am trying to connect my Guitar up to my Pc using a Behringer UCA202 which i have had sat in my draw for gods knows how long.Anyway because i have no amp at the moment so i thought i would give it a whirl but i haven't the foggiest where to start. ?Can anyone help with how this thing connects up to PC.
  4. Well this has got me stumped which doesn't take a lot with anything electrical so it's gone back to G4M for a warranty repair,Wouldn't expect a speaker blowing after only 6 months of use and it's never been had the volume knob over half way since i've had it.
  5. Yes i was thinking the same thing but ironically enough it working fine before i started using my phone as an MP3 and headphones for silent practice. ?Does anyone know how to check the fuse on these things.
  6. Good Evening All, I have recently been using my phone as an MP3 player plugged into the aux in socket and practising with my over ear headphones so i don't disturb the wife's TV viewing. Any i may have plugged and unplugged the phone when the amp is still switched on..?Could this damage the speaker . The speaker is now making funny farting type noises especially when plucking lower notes to the point where it is basically unplayable ,so i fear that i have knackered something on the Amp. ??Can anybody suggest what i may have done. Amp is only just over six months old and purchased by myself brand new from G4M. PS..If this post is on the wrong thread feel free to move it.
  7. Thanks for the link ,i've been toying with the idea for a while now about acquiring something like this, but the price is putting me off slightly ?any suggestions of something close as this but cheaper.I currently play a Yamaha 424 x which has a 40 mm nut width i believe and now i'm used to this width but don't really want to increase the nut width but love the p bass sound as i'm old school, anyway i'm blabbering now.
  8. One particular gig that really stands out for me is..Thin Lizzy 1979 spa royal hall Bridlington, right at the front watching Phils very closely trying to work out what he was doing actually playing a Bass with a pick and i'm still useless now nearly 40 years on.......
  9. Great choice although it's not funk or soul or Groove it's Northern Soul ask any Wigan Fan.
  10. And you have come back with the perfect example of why we call people like you snowflakes...
  11. Which one though Cameron that's the question.
  12. No i haven't Cameron the main issue is the weight and size of the Yam Really, just feeling the need to downsize my actual guitar get the right sound into the bargain.
  13. Anyway assuming i haven't upset you all on the Substitute thread,i am in need of some advice about acquiring another instrument,as some may know i play in a ska band and my current tool is the Yam 424x which i have to admit doesn't omit the sound i am personally after although some would argue otherwise. So give me some ideas please, Not too heavy as the i'm starting to feel the weight of the Yam after 2 to 3 hours, but has a darker deeper tone that i can get out of the Yam,i'm all ears. oh and prefer passive really unless someone knows of an active instrument that fits the bill. Price wise i have a budget of £500 smackers.give or take a few squid.
  14. Sounds to me like your'e the one who has overreacted about someone overreacting about something which hasn't been overreacted to .
  15. No you're are still a snowflake and anyone else who are offended by trivialities that back in the day no one even bothered about.ok mush
  16. Blimey i thought i was on facebook for a minute then,i take none of you are sex pistols fans,The lyrics should remain how they were written and if some snowflake is offended then so be it,some people are taught to feel offended nowadays but be the lefty schooling kids get now get on with life and stop trying to change history the Lyrics are what they are so what.
  17. Right then cheers all, might be in the market for one soon then.
  18. I thought so too ,but the body has thrown me a bit.
  19. ?Whats the make of this Bass being played here on this clip ?anyone know...
  20. Yes i was wondering about the necks ,how they feel ,how they play,?does anyone know if the neck shape /size is similar to the Yamaha BB424x which i already have but as you may know with me playing Bass in a SKA band i'm still not sure that my Yam is the real deal, and i have been advised to look at the Squier Classic vibe 70S for that reason TBH
  21. ?Anyone got one /play one, has one for sale .What are they like to play. I think i need feedback before even going out and playing one.
  22. I had this problem and i did solve it in the end after a year and a half of practising with my amp plugged in albeit it's only a Orange Crush Bass 50,but i was asked to turn it down quite a few times, tried wearing headphones but i am one of those that hate wearing them i just end up with a massive headache after 15 mins. Here's my solution and it won't cost a lot provided you are capable of DIY.. Go out and purchase some of these boards... http://www.less2build.com/dry-lining/thermal-backed-boards/gyproc-thermaline-basic-standard-40mm i bought four sheets to cover my wall which adjoins the neighbours. Screw some battens onto the wall then fix the boards onto the battens using plaster boards nails and them get hold of some plasterboard filler patch it up then either paint it or wall paper it's that easy, this will considerably reduce the sound going through the walls. It's worked for me with no more complaints.Failing this DIY get someone in for a quote but it really is a simple job.
  23. I must admit i have never seen either of those but now you have pointed it out i will have a butchers cheers .
  24. Ohhh Yes,a very talented group of musicians,i too am hankering after seeing them live ,but unlike you i have always been a fan.
