Woods dont need years to dry out, they are kiln dried.Hardwoods tend to take a lot longer because of the density of the timber in question, all hard woods are different as well.By Kiln drying Timber it refers to the concentration of RESIN within the wood the denser the wood the longer it has to spend in the kiln in what we called to "Dry" the Timber. We do this by weighing the Wood then in the kiln which opperate by steam and fans and periodically test the timber with moisture meters and again weighing the Timber til it reaches a certain point of dryness.A couple of examples Mohagany takes longer usualy to dry than Hard Maple as its a more denser timber. Bottom line is ?"How do i know this about timber",well i worked in the Timber industry for 25 years manufacturing hardwood and softwood flush firedoors. Roasted maple takes on average a month to dry the resin tops.

I seemed to have acquired a hissing sound resonating through my cab speaker when i am using my Sansamp which is connected to the FX Return jack on my Amp to the out Jack on the Sansamp. This hissing doesn't happen when i'm going directly into the Amp only when using the Sansamp.?Any ideas anyone. If this post is in the wrong place feel free to move it

Just as a side note, why are Boats always female. -
Here is my fender Mex P which i purchased brand new in 2021,it's in excellent condition and it's only been played at home. I never really took to the neck to be fair,i'm more of a Jazz bass neck fan. Anyway it's not being given the playing justice it deserves so i'm moving it on to someone who'll actually play this lovely Bass. I upgraded the Pickup in 2022 to Fender pure Vintage 63 ones. I also changed the pickguard to the tort one seen here. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL P/UP FOR THE ABOVE WHICH CAN NOW BE ADDED FOR £45 REDUCED FROM £60 IF REQUIRED. I have added the Fender specs for clarity also. The guitar can be played and inspected and picked up at my home address in Derbyshire So it is COLLECTION ONLY on this one. So it's time to treat yourself. This is a CASH ONLY SALE payable at the point of collection. The original white scratch plate is available at no extra cost if required.

What can one say except to say that this is outstanding work and such a worthy cause as well very very fitting in remembrance to Nick. The processes involved and machinery takes me back to my wood machining/bench joinery days where i was employed for 25 years in the manufacture of hardwood and softwood internal and external carved wood doors when they were all the rage. Now retired but i'm finding this very interesting indeed, that CNC Router looks the bees and the Planer Thicknesser as well as all the other kit all spot on . Kudos to all involved. I'll be buying a ticket

I always fancied being in a Beatles tribute band.that Paul McCartney geezer didn't half come up with some brilliant Bass Lines. I'm on with this one at the minute, great line.

Stick to your day job bud.

Only just dug the Bass out having not played it for 6 years,I couldn't remember when I bought it so this throws some light onto the situation. I may be looking to sell it to fund another purchase. Or maybe not when i'm reminded just how good these sound and the build quality for the price as well.
