Thanks, it was driving me nuts trying to find the manufacturer. I trawled hundreds of old sites and put in different combinations of the decal imprint in the last few minutes to no avail. It is stunning and I have never seen a headstock like it from that era. Closest look is the newer SX stuff. Hope someone can identify it, its very interesting.

From one of the images you can almost make a name out. I can see what looks like an 'O' at the start then an 'S' cant see next; then 'T' 'E' & 'N'. Lovely looking bass though. At first I thought it was a columbus but the head stock put paid to that idea. Good luck andy

If I was you, I would toddle over to TalkBass and pm Larry Hartke for some advice. He is absolutely brilliant with the Hartke community and have seen him get damaged gear repaired!

My favourite pbass ever! I had one with some of the same mods: black scratchplate and I put in an American standard bridge. Stunning basses and must be played to realise just how good they are. Good luck with the sale. andy
