4.
This was originally my bass from New. I can comfortably say this is the nicest precision sound I've ever had from any instrument. When I bought from Gak I tried this against 3 other mike dirnts and this one just had a certain something in the sound that made it superior. Good luck with the sale, whoever buys will be super happy.
Cheers for this Bassix, good to know history of the instrument. She is nice and the vintage 59 pup sound amazing.
Upgraded MIM Jazz - Black /Maple... maybe's aye maybe's no?
Hey DB, got any pics? And, what have ye done to it? cheers all andy

6. Would be interested in: Fender classic 50's p bass - any colour Ashdown little bastard orange terror bass just hit me with anything you think suitable, however I aint looking to spend money! andy
7. Images attached! Sorry for being a rubbish photographer ... did the best I could with absolutely no photographic talent whatsoever! I tried to get the shots of the buckle rash but couldn't, tried to get the shot of the ding at the rear strap button well ...? andy
8. Noelk thanks for the info buddy. Its Japanese first numbers 11 so I'll assume it is 1981. Thanks for all the kind words guys, pics added. Sorry for being a rubbish photographer! andy
9. Very difficult sale for me this ... I managed to get her back after being away for nearly ten years! However, my black Yamaha BB1600 is most reluctantly up for sale. She is in great condition for an old bird, definitely road worn and road ready; Dating he was difficult but at best she is 26 and at worst (vintage) 33 years old. Her date of birth is difficult to garner information on due to the lack of letters in her code, however various Yamaha serial services have turned up: 1979, 1980/81/86 who knows?? Anyway a little tweak on the set-up would see her play beautifully and effortlessly responding to the lightest of loving touches. No major dings nor bangs, just sings like a grand piano. I feel I have done enough research to price her competitively at £400. Postage, I imagine, would be around £15 for a two day courier - happy to negotiate postage but would prefer buyer to arrange. I'll stick some pinups of her later tonight. Trades also considered. cheers for looking andy
10.
Hi Andy, I'm looking for a specific amp/cab trade
Cool, thanks andy
11. When you say trades, are you interested in basses or amps/cabs only? cheers andy
12.
Bloomin right it`s a shocker!! At this price it should be long gone............But what the heck. Final price drop. If it doesn`t go at this price I`m gonna keep the thing £205 collected/meet up £215 posted to your door
Man, that is far too cheap for a pristine £449 instrument! However, the price is stunning for someone to buy now! Good luck Gerry andy
13. Welcome Gerry and your a top man too! Glad the strings turned up, posted yesterday due to me packing them, leaving them on my desk and ... as usual, forgetting! andy
14. I'll get them up soon as D, haven't thought about what trades I would like ... hmmm! andy
15. Hey all, I recently bought a fantastic Fender Mike Dirnt precision bass from Gerry (Jezza) in good condition. Unfortunately the bass just doesn't work for me, so i have decided to put her up for sale. info here: http://www.fender.co...rtno=0138400341 It is the black version and is in good condition. Some buckle rash on the back and a ding near the rear strap button - I'll post images later. It owes me £400, therefore, £400 it is inc. postage. Also, trades welcome. blurb: Mike Dirnt and his Green Day bandmates pretty much single-handedly brought punk-pop to the masses in the ’90s and continue to rock harder than ever today. Designed to the hard-hitting and oft-airborne bassist's own specs, the Mike Dirnt Precision Bass® is as unique and cool as Green Day’s music. Modeled on the 1951 Precision, it features a slab ash body with a ’55 arm contour and pickguard. Other features include a thick C-shaped maple neck modeled on Dirnt’s 1969 Precision, Custom Shop ’59 Precision Bass pickup and Badass® Bass II™ bridge with chrome hardware. spec: Body Shape: Precision Bass® Neck Neck Shape: Thick "C" Shape Number of Frets: 20 Fret Size: Medium Jumbo Position Inlays: White Dot Fretboard Radius: 9.5" (24.1 cm) Fretboard: Rosewood Neck Material: Maple Nut Width: 1.59" (40.4 mm) Scale Length: 34" (86.36 cm) Neck Plate: Custom 4 Bolt Neckplate Truss Rod Nut: 3/16" Hex Adjustment Electronics Pickup Configuration: Single Split-Coil Pickup Middle Pickup: Custom Vintage '59 Split Single-Coil Pickup Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone Hardware Hardware: Chrome Bridge: Leo Quan Badass® II String Nut: Synthetic Bone Tools Truss Rod Wrench: 3/16" "T-Style" Ball-End Hex (Allen) Wrench
16. Hi Karl, I don't know if you know, but a lot of pressure was put on Anders to reinstate you and I believe he has written to you. Mistake or not, it is important, to me and many others that you are part of the group and continue to contribute. I have provided a link below in hope it will show up on your FB: http://www.facebook.com/groups/294500090592/ Let me know how you get on. andy

18. It was always going to happen Karl. I suppose I'm surprised it wasn't sooner. I have had three posts removed but no warning or red card, I think because I was one of the initial contributors, however, we do need to sort this out, and ; you need to be part of it KARL! andy
19. £1200 is a very reasonable price given the cost of them these days. good luck andy
