1. I'm about to press the button on buying a new Hartke Kilo. So up for sale is my Hartke LH1000. Looking for £250 shipped to anywhere in the UK. Andy I've marked with a white circle where the paint has come off due to me over tightening in the rack case.
2.
There's a Digital Village a few miles from here, I'll have a word with them when I get back from Bristol in a few days. You will have to cover the postage, of course.
of course! andy
3.
If it helps, I have one of the first Kilos out in the wild here in the UK and I am loving it! I'm currently A/Bing it with my LH1000 and for the sake of other gear, I have an MB F1 to throw in to the compare mix. I think in coming weeks it will be likely that the Kilo will be the 'go to' amp for me. Hugely flexible and tonally rich. I'm yet to crank it but I expect it will probably be using the same two 500W modules from the LH head to drive it's wall caving capabilities!
I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! a.
4. There is a way round it... ask a local music shop for a box, they usually do oblige, £10 will get it delivered to Edinburgh using parcel2go - providing it is under 30lbs and we can all be happy! andy
5.
Agreed, I didn't call into question the amount the seller wanted for the bass, merely that you shouldn't compare a MK3 price to a MKI bass, bit like comparing the price of a MK4 Cortina to a Focus
I'd rather have a cortina
6.
I wouldn't put too much trust in Yamaha's word about the 150 of each thing, I phoned them in 1992 after seeing photo's of the factory and crates of thousands of necks, many were LTD necks, I asked them "Just how Limited is this bass", to which the reply was "Limited to how many we can sell"
I called Yamaha a few years ago in order to source one and I did ask them about the 150 + 150. They said to me that this was per country not overall. Nevertheless, these are fantastic instruments and given the price of the new mk3 £2499, I believe £1000 a great price for an instrument of this quality. Also if we were discussing the price of a 20 year old Fender Jazz we wouldn't even quibble about the hefty price mark.
7. I'd have bought this in a second if delivered. andy
8. Sickner mate! Good luck and I hope it works out for you. andy
9.
Thanks Lloydy, it's a lovely bass, I think I'll stick to my plan-A & look for a USA to modify, but I'm very tempted Good luck with the sale, Cheerz, John
Hi mate, These are fantastic instruments and I'll say this without flinching nor wearing a tin hat!! They absolutely pee all over the American Standard PBass. Seriously they are that good. 44mm at the nut because it is based on a 57p. Stunning and I really, really miss mine. If I had to criticize then it would be that the pups are just a wee bit to low in terms of output.
10. That is a bummer! Is there no chatter in your vicinity that could help out? Posting an empty box form Edinburgh would cost a bit!! Lol.
11. Do what I do... go into a local music shop and ask if they have a spare shipping box. My local is quite good and are only too willing to oblige due to the fact that it means they don't have to break it down and put out to trash.
12. Wow! Once I've settled down a little...I'll post more!
13. yeeeehaww! tonight's the night! I feel a song coming on... cannae wait!

16.
I was going to this but my friends babysitting arrangements went tits-up at the last minute so I'm sat in the house with two tickets & no lift.
That's harsh! Feel for you dude! andy
17. Any chatters attending please leave a review. enjoy andy
18. Cannot believe this has not been snapped up! Serious bargain for an amp of this quality. good luck bud andy
19.
I think it does! Not managed to attract many whales in my times playing up in Orkney though, more usually just confused the cows in nearby fields. I was going to pull the trigger on either the head or the combo, but then my flat has sprung a leak which has occupied my time and money for the moment.
That's a pity. I've seen and played through the head and both cabs, they are in great nick, looking and sonically. andy
20. Any luck? have a bump on me!
21. bump! Not this one but identical to my very first real bass and... the one I miss most. andy
22.
Can't believe no one's mentioned Manring...
No, no, no! He's is the edgiest freakiest most uncomfortable bass player I have ever seen! He's great though.
