2. Cannot believe this has not been snapped up! Serious bargain for an amp of this quality. good luck bud andy
3.
I think it does! Not managed to attract many whales in my times playing up in Orkney though, more usually just confused the cows in nearby fields. I was going to pull the trigger on either the head or the combo, but then my flat has sprung a leak which has occupied my time and money for the moment.
That's a pity. I've seen and played through the head and both cabs, they are in great nick, looking and sonically. andy
4. Any luck? have a bump on me!
5. bump! Not this one but identical to my very first real bass and... the one I miss most. andy
6.
Can't believe no one's mentioned Manring...
No, no, no! He's is the edgiest freakiest most uncomfortable bass player I have ever seen! He's great though.
7.
I'm going for Duck Dunn or Andy Fraser! Shown here being painfully '70s! Truckstop
Two of the coolest! However gotta be Neil Murray for me.
8. Love my Hartke LH1000. It has been my main gigging rig, coupled with the AK410, since I got it. It cuts through anything and, due to its volume, I can't crank it much past two because the guys complained!! Going to part with my SVT 3pro and B410hlf cab to buy another AK410 and the new Kilo head. The Hartke gear has just blown me away...
9. Hi Karl, I had an Attitude Special too. Great bass it was and the only reason I parted with it was for my Attitude ltd II. I pimped up my Attitude SE by putting in very vintage p pups a bartolini super humbucker at the front and gouged out the top five frets to mimic the Attitude ltd. Special bass indeed and one I miss. andy
10.
Sorry man, I've already got something similar from a few years back. Cheers
Cool cheers andy
11. Hi, interested in one of these as a trade? Some money your way. http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~P...bo~ID~11084.asp
12. I love the attitude! It combines three of my favourite basses together: Telecaster, Precision and EB3L. Thunderous tone and and really articulate when rolling off the woofer pup. Great all rounder but not really a funk machine. Takes a wee while getting used to the neck but its great and you don't need to be good enough to enjoy it. andy
13. My band (now ex) moved out of the permanent practice room last Friday. A gentle transition in terms of me being edged out but have remained friends with the guys. The guys have joined another band to assist a young singer songwriter push on in his musical career. Good luck to them. Isn't my sort of stuff but its tight and sounds good. Anyhoo, thought I'd drop in a pic of both my rigs together. At least I've got an 810 again! lol I have wired the Attitude woofer to the 3pro and 410hlf cab and the p's up to the LH1000 and AK410 cab - sounds awesome! Andy
14. This is a steal: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/yamaha-trb-six-strin...=item4cf8a6afc4 I so wish I had the money to get this!! andy
15. Interested in one of these: http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~P...bo~ID~11084.asp for a trade? And a wee bit money your way. It's in pristine condition. andy
16. Big bargain! The speaker itself must be worth that and then some! Good luck andy
17.
Its just a shame I dont or at least cant justify the use of it. But I honestly wont use it with the other 2 basses that I have. My go to bass is now my Ric and the Jag is used from time to time. However in the last 2weeks I have had a major change in circumstance. This has caused me to stop playing in my band as of last night. So lets face it 3 basses is a tad overkill for a man that wont be playing at rehearsals or gigs for the foreseeable future Depending on how things go the other 2 may be up for sale at some point in the not so distant future.
Don't give up Steve!
18. Good luck Andy! I hope people aren't wasting your time!!?
19. That is beautiful! Selling price too low IMHO, the fretted version sells new for around £1500: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp.../BB3000_WR.html A secondhand one should fetch around the £600 mark. Wishing I had £300!!!
20.
Hi Tom, Yes, it is a bit tricky balancing possible values, isn't it. I searched the BC For Sale forum for CIJ/MIJ P's and also ATK 400's. No problem finding out about the P's - plenty of current and past examples at anywhere from £350 to £500. However, an ATK 400 is much more difficult to find. Ebay isn't much use either - I searched "Completed Listings" for an ATK 400 and found nothing. ATK 300's go fo £200+, and an ATK 700 went for £400. Putting the ATK 400 between these puts it around the value of some of the CIJ/MIJ P's, especially when you take into consideration the ATK 400 is now getting pretty hard to find and the one I have is in excellent condition. Your P sounds interesting. Do you want to swap photos? If you show me yours, I'll show you mine... Steve
Amazing instruments and made in Japan as far as I can recall. Bought mine in 2002, exactly same as yours for £400 new. However, back then you could tell these were worth more than the ticket price. £350 aint a terrible amount to ask for. Stunning! I miss mine
21. Definitely the LH1000, simply stunning! As will the LH500 be although you get a little more flexibility with the twin power amps in the LH1000. I am absolutely smitten with mine... andy ps, Steve, will speak soon pal and absolutely correct re etiquette! Proof in the feedback matey!
22.
I tried a Hartke rig at a redeye studios in clydebank. Pretty impressed with the 4x10 and 1x15 i was using. A bit overkill for a rehearsal hall but it did remove all cobwebs hahaha. Is the rig portable compared to the 4x10hlf??????????
Considering dropping from the valve head and 810, the b410 is easily portable!! lol. The Hartke rig is very portable, the LH1000 head is marginally heavier than the 3pro however the AK410 weighs in at 60lbs and is amazingly portable.
