1. A wee update from Hartke UK man Agent Gareth:
Can you just mention that at present I have been informed that we SHOULD be able to get the Kilo from our August orders so if this does happen it will hit the stores late Sept early October....just in time for Santa to bring it to everybody in his sack!
andy
 2. Just a wee update good folks: Been speaking with Gareth at Hartke UK who has been absolutely superb and really went out his way to assist me - can't beat that for customer service! So, big thumbs up to Hartke UK. Andy

 5.
ANYWAY.....hopefully back onto op. I would hang fire Andy, if you have a giggable rig the noo and don't need this amp straight away, then you may as well wait till you get exacly what you want, I believe you once said that to me. I used the LH500 along with matching 4x10 and 1x15 cabs. Hartke gear is really sweet although I've not tried the kilo gear. What is it about the range that tickles yer fancy???
Thanks for the laugh folks, pedant/s point/s taken! Therefor, damn VPL's! Was contemplating the LH1000 but really want the Kilo. Steve, ah gwasshoppa, you learn fast! Yes that is what I'm going to do. Dood got me a little curious re Hartke gear, so... Did a little research and liked what I heard. Then I noticed Billy Sheehan (my Idol... ) demoing it at Namm and decided there and then that it was for me! Was really difficult coming to terms with losing the big rig but after removing it from the practice room, I realised I was doing the right thing. andy
 6.
Maybe you need to re-think. You could always go for the TC Electronic stuff or the Mark Bass.
Not too keen on digital output stages. I like the valve pre and solid state out.

 8. Hi fellow chatters.. I have just sold my dream rig and am now in the process of replacing it with something smaller and lighter. My Ampeg 810 and Trace V4 will have a new home as of tomorrow. I want to replace it with a Hartke Kilo and AK410 cab... however... Speaking intitally with GAK, who were great, they informed me that the head would be available on the 15 March - hooray - and gave me a great cash price on it! So, over to Talkbass where I have a discussion with Mr Hartke who informs me that the date for availability is April! Booo! But hey 6 weeks at worst...And then onto my local shop Reddog Music who as always are great and do their very best for matching GAK but inform me that I can have the cab now but will have to wait until August/September for the head because they are not in production yet! Eh??? is my reply, how can this be?? The Hartke rep told the shop that this is how it is for now. GRRRR... GRRRR... What am I buying into here? Its the first time I have moved to a new manufacturer in years! Andy
 9. Any luck yet mate? Andy

 17.
I need to stop looking at this. I'm starting to have silly thoughts. Like, for example "would the OP be interested in trading his V4 for my BFB Vintage and LH500?". Of course he wouldn't. Silly idea. I am mad to even suggest it... And the fact that I'm in Edinburgh next weekend has nothing to do with it either.
Never silly always worth a try. However you are most welcome to visit and have a bash on the rig. I have my heart set on a Hartke (Yes Hartke) kilo and ak410 cab. I've been researching gear for ages now in an attempt to get something that would both 'fit' and make me feel OK about getting rid of my dream rig. This does! Ta much Billy! Also thanks to Dood who sparked my interest in Hartke through a pm some time ago. cheers andy
 18. I reckon £700 is a fair price for a collectible rare piece of Trace history. I got there due to the rather hefty pricing of far inferior new valve amps but as always...open to offers - not above the stated price though! cheers for the question andy ps, I have heard it on one of those cabs and it does sound awesome! (Ask Rumour6 or Thornybank)
 19. Willing to split type bump!

 23.
WOW! just WOW! I dont think i will ever sell my V4. Its just too damn good, at everything. Yours is slightly different to mine, mine has the overdrive channel and compressor. I didnt know they did 2 models. Do you know any history about the differences? just to please my geekiness As far as i know, they only made around 20 of these. Good luck with the sale, someone is gonna be in heaven with this sound!
Thanks folks, It is definitely difficult parting with this rig however, I'm doing nothing at the moment and likely not much more in the future. Ta Andy for the techie explanation. I'll get some detailed pics up at the weekend. andy
 24. Hi folks, Cheers for the kind words. Hey Steve, its just too much for me now. The band look like its coming to an end and I'm just kidding myself in regards to having gigs for this kind of rig. It does though, need to be used, unlikely by me but someone else will get the benefit of a stunning set-up. And.
 25. Hey good basschatters, I have decided it is time to part with my beloved never gigged pro set-up. It comprises of the following: Trace Elliot V4 all valve, 220w 4/8 ohms bass amp in beautiful condition. However, it is heavy and a bloody monster to boot! Ampeg Classic 810e cab in fabulous condition. Looking for £1200 for the lot! A snip for a pro-rig of such obvious magnificence! Probably about £1500 - £2000 less if trying to put together a similar rig. Any questions, fire away. cheers andy
