Hey all,

I recently bought a fantastic Fender Mike Dirnt precision bass from Gerry (Jezza) in good condition. Unfortunately the bass just doesn't work for me, so i have decided to put her up for sale.

info here: http://www.fender.co...rtno=0138400341

It is the black version and is in good condition. Some buckle rash on the back and a ding near the rear strap button - I'll post images later. It owes me £400, therefore, £400 it is inc. postage. Also, trades welcome.

blurb:

Mike Dirnt and his Green Day bandmates pretty much single-handedly brought punk-pop to the masses in the ’90s and continue to rock harder than ever today. Designed to the hard-hitting and oft-airborne bassist's own specs, the Mike Dirnt Precision Bass® is as unique and cool as Green Day’s music. Modeled on the 1951 Precision, it features a slab ash body with a ’55 arm contour and pickguard. Other features include a thick C-shaped maple neck modeled on Dirnt’s 1969 Precision, Custom Shop ’59 Precision Bass pickup and Badass® Bass II™ bridge with chrome hardware.

spec:

Images attached!

Sorry for being a rubbish photographer ... did the best I could with absolutely no photographic talent whatsoever! I tried to get the shots of the buckle rash but couldn't, tried to get the shot of the ding at the rear strap button well ...?

This was originally my bass from New. I can comfortably say this is the nicest precision sound I've ever had from any instrument. When I bought from Gak I tried this against 3 other mike dirnts and this one just had a certain something in the sound that made it superior. Good luck with the sale, whoever buys will be super happy.

Cheers for this Bassix, good to know history of the instrument. She is nice and the vintage 59 pup sound amazing.

Hope this works & it's ok to do it

Trying to fund purchase of another bass on here. So selling a MIM maple black Jazz Bass.

Bought a few months ago from Tom1946 for £320. It came with a white pearlescent guard that I will include.
Control panel has been shielded since purchase, new strings, capacitor put on to the tone control (sounds a wee bit brighter I think!) and a setup by 7string from this forum.

Despite all of these upgrades, I am still only looking for £325+pp or looking to trade up to something better up to about £600 (ie this plus £250) due the the extreme GASage on this forum just now! Laklands, Shuker and Warwicks.........

Basic image with black pickguard:

Boring headstock image!

Back of body and neckplate.

Body shot to try and show marks on the body - one at back armrest bit and a mark on the upper horn.

Back of head with serial no. edited out:

Standard bridge

Gigged twice since purchase and it played beautifully.

Not for sale elsewhere but I am not desperate as I still like it, I like it a lot!

Cheers!

What " I've " done is " Wilkinsonised" had new chunky vintage tuners added, new bridge ( brass saddles) and pick-ups ( the better qualityones) all set-up professionally by the Guitar Doctor. Don't have pics at moment but sure I could sort it out .
