6. Morning all, Thinking of selling my Trace 4x8 carpet covered cab. Its in brill condition with only an input needing replaced. Typical Trace putting on a screw sleeve and bolt as it came off and got lost however, no damage to the input. I will fix this but looking for guidance on a price. Swapped it for a Yamaha TRBx-505 which cost me £300 but I know its probably not worth as much? I don't know - help
7. Bought Josh's Ashdown 4x8 cab, absolutely as described actually, in better condition than expected. Great communications and the perfect deal acheived. cheers Andy

10. Hi all, for sale is my pristine flat black Yamaha TRBx-505. TRADED It really is in great condition while playing and sounding as you would expect. I bought it thinking I would get into playing a 5 string again but no, not for me anymore. Will put up pix tonight when home. couple of links to peruse in the meantime: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-basses/trbx/trbx505/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOTqehKbNho Andy
11. The BB series are awesome value for money and killer basses. I've owned a 424, 425, 1600 and still have my 714bs of which is an amazing instrument. I do fancy a 3000 though

Mentioning reissue 59 pups took me Mike Dirnt as he uses those specifically for his fender sig bass so, guessing they are these fellas: https://stratosphereparts.com/fender-mike-dirnt-road-worn-p-bass-59-split-pickup-pots-knobs-vintage/
16. Yeah of course I would. cheers Andy

18.
Don't think they understand 'irony', which is ironic given Alanis Morrisette's hit.....
Love the irony in that song! lol http://www.salon.com/2014/05/08/what_everybody_gets_wrong_about_alanis_morissettes_ironic_partner/ http://www.isitironic.com/alanis-morissette.htm
19.
So did I Markbass stuff sounds good, but I couldn't live with the look of those heads. I once test-drove a used Merc - perfect match for what I wanted, FMBSH, drove like a dream - but the dashboard was 50/50 caramel and tan. I knew I couldn't live with that either! Shallow? Moi?
Same! Was looking at an Alfa Romeo 159 JTD, sleek black, beautiful condition and key fob operation - very sexy! That was until I saw the interior - yeeuch! Light tan leather, completely ruined it for me! I'll join you in the shallow pit.
20. Had many amps, cabs and combinations of both however, I've realised over the years, the amp for me and one I always return to is an Ampeg SVT-3pro. Tried loads of other things but nothing fixes my needs as this amp does. The silly point though is, I must pair it with an Ampeg cab. There are lots of better cabs out there but I need to have the 'rig'. My last big rig was an SVT-CL paired with an Hartke AK410 which is just an Ampeg 410he but that rig is away. My current gig rig is an SVT-3pro and two SVT 2x10 cabs - looks the business!
21.
I'm delivering a boat to Scotland this weekend, coming home with an empty estate car and a very full wallet. Detour to Edinburgh is very tempting!
Let us know how you got on.
22. I should've made that statement more clear in that, every bass player should own - at least for a a day or two! lol Doesn't take long to realise how amazing they are but as you say, weight, storage and transport are a nightmare. But WOW 😱
23. Every bass player has to own an SVT Classic and 810e cab! Industry standard and apprenticeship requirements!! 😎
24. Once opened all became clear. It's another 12ax7.
25.
Hmmm, Folkestone to Edingburgh... Quite a way for a bass chat relay of an 8x10! Why are all the good deals up North?!
I suspect you could chat with them to pack it and you could organise a courier to collect?
