1. Hey all, been having problems with the stingray electrics, the treble pot acting strangely as in middle position ok, rolled of ok but rolled on sounds like its rolled off. Took off the control plate and fiddled with the white and black wires from the pup to the pre. I noticed fairly quickly the solder was dry and off the circuit board. tried to re-solder but the circuit track seat disintegrated. Can any-one recommend me where to get a new preamp or a repair? I guess the circuit is now damaged beyond repair. andy
2. It is a stunner! Good luck mate 😎 Andy

8. Ah awesome 😎 didn't know that. Tried to source the behind the scenes but unsuccessful so far.
9. I'm sure Larry was instrumental for the slap bass break in powers station's 'get it on' cover? Sure there was a behind the scenes with him and the band where Larry was teaching John Taylor how to slap.
10. The one I moved around with the most was an Ashdown 515 mini rig and my Yamaha BB714, just worked!
11. What a great price for this stunning little fella: http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/ashdown-ctm-15-valve-bass-head thought I'd share, Andy
12. Aye p rn it is! lol it is absolutely the bass for me in terms of type & colour! frantically trying to sell my Fender MIM pbass and raise some capital. Andy
13. That is bass porn to the nth degree for me 😱 GLWTS andy
14. Just been converted! Spent years resisting a MM even though Cliff Williams is an influence however, recently bought a ray 34 and love it! So much so, I now own an MM stingray 4 too. I cannot describe this in any coherent form but I'm sure, you will all know what I mean when I say it feels like home or the big comfy chair! lol Andy
15. Rich is a great guy and was a pleasure doing business with him, the bass is awesome!😎 Wish could have spent a little longerr with you than did but misses needed to get home 😕 Cheers Andy
16. The bass lounge selling one of these in same condition used for £549 ex del. They are awesome, simply awesome! I can't recommend these enough. good luck Andy
17.
They only had 2, both standard colours and I got a feeling they were reduced to get them through, possibly by the UK distributor. One thing is for sure, by Tuesday I'm going to regret a previous comment about what particular basses seem to sell for
Oh, Oh was it the Rick?
18. Very much enjoyed that 😎 cool drummer you have there. Andy
19. Blackberry Smoke - Holding all the roses. Awesome band and great tunes The recording is on CD stunning but would love to own it on vinyl as my hifi system would pull out so much more detail and open it right up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HGNofJc7zI My baby made me rock n roll again ... worth a watch on the tube
20. started this thread some time ago and feel its kinda relevant again: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254586-sh-basses-pricing/page__fromsearch__1 Andy
21.
Good advert. Decent pictures. Flexibilty in courier/meet up. A price that is fair to both buyer and seller. Too many look at Feebay prices and expect the same on here. Feebay now, people basically try to cover the 13.4 % charges (inc carriage). Hence basses up for months in there. Any £950 for basses that cost £700 15 years ago? Gi yer heid a shake. If you look back at the popular quality instruments on here, you will see a consistence in prices THAT BASSES HAVE SOLD AT. US Precision MM Sterling and Bongo usually SELL around £650/£700 US Jazz and MM Stingray usually SELL around £700/£750 If anybody wants more they will usually be in for a wait. The one that really pisses me off "will travel 25 miles radius for petrol money"
Spot on as usual buddy! Too many don't seem to get depreciation and reality.
22. If you have a Mac, GarageBand is a great package and more powerful than you'd think. If home recording, would recommend ProTools every time. Not the greatest nor easiest for midi but superb for recording. Can pick up an mbox 2 pro and pt8 for around £75 on the usual auction sites.
23. Just bought a ray 34 and have to say, what an instrument! So much so, I'll be putting both my fender prec. up for sale! I love it!
24. I'm still in shock re the service! honestly the single best experience I have had when buying a bass. The bass itself although used, looks brand new! Must stick it through a decontamination/sterilisation chamber in order to make it look pristine! In Drew's words "its a minter" it is that!
25. Hope its cool to post this Just to say the guys from GBBL are awesome! I bought a Ray 34 TBS and have to say I'm gobsmacked at the condition (used), price, service and delivery! Quality all over! Drew was on holiday when I made my first query but he made time to chat with me and talk me through the process! Never have I purchased with great confidence and felt as important as a customer. Brilliant experience. Thought I'd share Andy
