1.
Anyone for a 70's Maya telecaster bass...in very nice condition???
Is it 34" scale & at a sensible price?
2.
..... Considering JH has made a big thing about having trademarked ALL of Rickenbacker's key design elements, I was even more surprised to find that in the US that's only expanded to cover the headstock and body designs, the Rickenbacker logo, as well as the horseshoe and toaster pickups
Tell me about it! I had to remove a listing on ebay for a 330 copy three times, even after just showing a close-up photo of it's toaster pickup! The third time had no photos at all, but JH also strongly objected to the use of 'copy of... Weller, Townsend, McGuinn & Lennon' in the title description! He even sent me a cease & desist message, calling me a counterfeiter & describing my actions as 'sneaky' & 'cynical'. I like that Shaftesbury though, been after one of those for a while - not sure about the price(?). Anybody else on here going after it?
3. Celso (setekh), Bought a MIJ Squier off me. Good coms & quick payer - no messing about. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks Nick
4. I've got CTS pots on most of my basses. Think I know what you mean, in that they're as not as 'slick' as a lot of stock pots initially(?) Don't mind this myself, but they do move more freely with time & use.

Set of Seymour Duncan 'Quarter Pounder' SJB-3 Pickups for Jazz Bass. Used condition, but work well & certainly pack a punch! £50 (+£5 P&P). 6. Best compliment I've ever had, was a couple of years ago, after a gig at some place in Swindon, actually from someone on here, that I reminded him of Tony Levin (?!) After which checking out Tony Levin, concluded that the comparison was probably more to do with the fact I have a slaphead, & was sporting a moustache at the time.
7. Since they revamped a short while ago, it has gone down the sh*tt*r. Not easy to find specific reviews. The HC forum has quite a few threads from users saying pretty much the same.
8. As above, would recommend Bitsbox for as much as you can get from them. Maplin's a last resort for me - bad service, overpriced & very little product knowledge. Regarding, the 3PDT footswitch - Ebay's the best for those, & knobs IMO.

10.
I thought we were trying to find the most popular pedals? I could add a dozen more to my list (and for God's sake keep Tayste2000 away from this!) but where's the point? For example, Max makes really great pedals but [sfx] is never going to outsell Boss or EHX, so I haven't listed any of the three [sfx] pedals that live on my board.
Some good points there.... Is this a poll on most popular brand or the type of pedal? For example, a lot of people have clones of a fair few on that list i.e. Woolly Mammoth etc...Would that be a separate entry or be included in the count for the Zvex original?
11. I like it. Very good.
12. Also post-Beatles, I like the stuff he's done with Youth as 'The Fireman'.
13.
Son of a Saint Westhill Club, Westfield, Midsomer Norton
Good luck, hope it all goes well.
14. Friend of mine's got me into Holy f***. So that's on the menu at the moment. Really liking their stuff, quite varied....
15. Bumpage!
16. I reckon certain envelope filters might get you in the ball park, but you're probably better off, putting the question over to the effects section for a more definitive answer. Cheers
17. Good for you - doesn't do any harm to live dangerously now & again. Got a similiar thing too, though myself in a couple of weeks. Who's the band?
18.
Bring back :brow: - the GAS one is rubbish. Jon.
+1 I hate that 'GAS' one.
19. Just sent of the pickups from a 70's Japcrap Kimbara Jazz copy to Andy for rewinding today. As you can see from the photo, the Kimbara's pickup routings are not the standard type, so replacement pickups are not possible. Love this bass, wanna keep it. Been after a Jazz that I like for a while - the neck is perfect for me, being like the old Fender 'U' profile, plus it's a nice weight. However, the pickups although not that weedy @ 7.5k, are bit too clanky sounding, and chords are a bit muzzy, not clear. Spoke to Andy with regard to what sort of tone I after, & he recommended I get the pickups rewound to Wizard '64' spec. So off they went! Looking forward to getting them back & hearing the results Cheers
20. *SOLD - Pending Payment* 1990 Jap Squier Precision Sad to see this cracking bass go..... It has a great tone, lovely player (fast neck), but already got a Tokai & a CAR CIJ '62 RI, and no space for another in the rack, so can't justify keeping it. There's a few dings in the body. Neck is good, as are the frets. I would put a tort scratchplate on it, if I were to keep it - would look the business! This is a good P-Bass. Whoever buys this will not be disappointed with it. £150 Collection OK, could drop off in Bristol/Bath area & Postage is fine. Please PM me if interested, or if you have any questions etc.... Thanks
