Love this. Bab Babbitt on the bass(?)

I go for all controls flat on my TE V-Type (at 12'oclock) - perfect for me. If I really need to cut through, there's a push-pull upper-mids boost on the mid control - Like a kick in the chest!

*SOLD* Digitech Bad Monkey overdrive Bass modded for better low end. Lot of love for these pedals. Great for 'warming' things up, getting old school tones, particularly with a S/S amp. In good condition, no scratches, chips etc - velcro underneath, for attaching to pedalboard. Gonna miss this, but with having a valve amp, I'm not using it. Plus, getting rid of it will force me to finish off the Bassdrive clone I've been sitting on for ages. [s]£30[/s] £25 + £4 postage. Local collection OK. Please PM me if interested. Cheers
I wish I had waited now and not got the Lomenzo Hyperdrive Interested in any trades?
I might be, though I can't think of anything I need at the moment. Got too many effects as it is - hence me selling a few of them. What do you have? I might be tempted!

Boss CS-3 Compressor with 'Humphrey' Mod. Neatly done by myself as per Ovnilab instructions. Review & Info here This is like a different pedal - greatly improved. Unfortunately, don't have any soundclips, but hopefully this youtube clip I've found of CS-3 with the same mod, will give some idea of what it sounds like. Full refund if buyer doesn't like it! My reason for selling is that I have two & don't need a spare Pedal itself is in very good condition, no chips etc... with only a tiny hairline scratch beneath the Attack control (as in photo). Comes with original box & documentation. £45 + £4 postage. Local collection OK. Please PM me if interested. Thanks Nick

How many valve amp owners carry a spare head in case of emergencies?
nick replied to Delberthot's topic in Amps and Cabs
+1, DI box. Either just a full on DI or a DI combination pedal like Sansamp.
Same here, though it's one of those Behringer copies. I do carry spares, though if anything did blow or went wrong etc, I doubt I'd have time to fix or diagnose the problem. -

String Identification - Flats, no silks (photos)
nick replied to BigBeatNut's topic in Accessories and Misc
Look like Webstrings Detroit Flats to me. I've had sets with gaps in windings before - good flats. -

Batteries from Robocorpse. Lightning fast delivery, no messing about! Thanks

Pro's and Con's of jazz bass pups in series?
nick replied to bubinga5's topic in Repairs and Technical
I've done it to my Warmoth Jazz/P Frankenstein. Definitely worth doing, gives another option. Gives an almost P-Bass thump to a jazz. Used this diagram myself Series/Parallel Jazz Bass , but used a push-pull tone pot as opposed to volume, as I wanted it out of the way. It's a reversible mod too. -
Like it, nice grooves going on there. You could probably bring a lot to it as well. Good luck with the rehearsal!
He used an 8 string Sheargold for it I think B
No, Hooky used a Yamaha BB. He did use a Shergold 6 string later though.

An early 70's Fender Musicmaster through a HH VS 100w head & a 2x12 Fane loaded guitar cab. Wish I still had all of it.... Shifted it to move on to a Westone Thunder 1A & 4x10 Session combo. It was acceptable in the 80's
Varoooom, is a bassists equivalent to a matadors cape.
Good analogy of 'Varooom' Steve Love a bit of varooom myself. Seem to remember John Taylor also being an exponent of this technique back in the day. Not enough varooom in today's music, definitely due a comeback.
Chingo123 is fine. I've dealt with him in the past and would do so again. Shipping by ship is fine too - but boy does 6 weeks feel like a long time when you are waiting for your bass to show up ..
Thanks OldGit. It is a long time to wait, but I'm trying to keep costs down - sea freight is significantly cheaper than other options. Plus , got other pieces of Japcrap to play in the meantime.
