1. That guy looks like I probably will in 20 years, I just hope I can play bass like him then too
2. Is the cab is the 450w 8ohm version?
3. I've got some sennhesier hd595's at the moment, but I use them for eveything not just practicing, and they're amazing, I can wear them all day and not even notice, the hd595's are quite a ways out of your budget, but I'd definitley reccomend sennhesier. I'd be wary of the mdr-v700's to be honest, I had 2 sets and both broke in exactly the same way after a couple of months, and they were quite uncomfortable to wear for a long time, BUT they sounded absolutely amazing, you can feel the bass rattling your skull, hence why I bought a second set after the first broke. If you hunt around you can probably find them at that pricepoint
4. wd-40's non-conductive so you should be fine, just use it sparingly
5. We did a gig once with a band we'd never met before, we got there to set up and I saw a very very nice lakland on a stand, once we'd set up a guy from the other band came in, we all shook hands and so on, and I asked him if it was his bass, he said yea so I asked him if I could have a play and he said yea, and then he said he was going to meet some people and left. So I was sat on the drum riser noodling on this very nice lakland jazz, when 2 other guys come in, all of a sudden I hear: "WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU DOING? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THAT THING COST?!?!?!" After a little more shouting this guy said he was the bassist and was very annoyed I was playing his expensive lakland, very confused and apologetic I explained that the other guy said it was his. Turned out the other guy was the singer and they'd had a massive falling out over a girl, and the singer was trying to piss him off. The bassist was actually pretty cool about it, he realised I knew what I was doing and apologised for shouting. When the singer came back in grinning they kicked him out of the band and did an instrumental set.
6. I do like colin mochrie
7. That is quite possibly the ugliest thing I've ever seen, looks like it belongs on the wall of a dutch sex shop
8. Probably an uneccasery addition at this point, but ordered payed (by bank trasnfer so it takes a few days) and recieved a very nice cable inside a week, will definitley be getting all my future cables from dave
9. I was gonna put mine up but I think i'll wait so my battlescarred korean NS doesn't have to share a page with that piece of beautiful maginficent transcednet radiance

Muffy Favour

in theory, it shouldnt need soldering, just put the ring over one of the case screws the screw it in, but i'm probably wrong
11. The first giggable full set up which I actually paid cash money for was my Spector (still my main bass after 5 years, I don't think I'll ever let her go) and a Trace 715 combo, both from bassworld back in the day. But before that I was gigging with my tanglewood rebel 4k and borrowed amps
12. pretty sure it's an aggressively eq'd fretless, lot's of mids, bridge pup only, but i might be wrong
13. Hysteria by Muse if that counts, not a subtle line, but the first time i heard it i said "what the hell is that magnificent noise? it sounds like the universe is ending and it's not happy about it" On another muse note, the assassin bass line. I didn't realise that the bass was doing until i played it on GH5 i'm embarassed to say. Here's the song if no ones heard it: And now the bass master track: Inasnity. Although, he does do it on a 5 string strung with a guitar string, so it's not that difficult to pull off, just damn suprising
14. Very nice setup there, but what are you using the M9 for if you've got all those (rather good) individual boxes? Anywho, here's my current setup, you'll notice my pedalboard now has one crucial component:
15. Just bought a Little Mark off Alan, great to deal with, very fast delivery, definitley recommended
16. Bought a flightcase/pedalboard thing from him, very easy to deal with, slight hitch in posting (not his fault), chased it down and kept me informed, definitley deal with again
17. doesn't sound like a pedal to me, just sounds like a well eq'd cranked tube amp, to do it with a pedal you'd probably need with actual tubes in, a bottle rocket/blackstar etc.
18. PM'd again
19. Bought my soundblox phaser off me, quick payment and a joy to deal with, definitley deal with again
20. Oh christ......PM'd
21. Sold pending the usual
22. Back to the front page, it'll be on evilBay soon if there's no joy here
23. Yea, the noise box is just a regular pedal (well, in operation), just processes the input signal, doesn't generate any signal itself
24.
Get a feedback loop on your board, see what it does with your other pedals. In fact, one of Umph's switching ones, so you can use it as a bypass loop too, in case of catastrophic board failure.
Forget that, It's catastrophic butt failure I'm worried about
