I've had this around a week now and I'm in love, everything I wanted from a filter, there's a pic up in the pedalboard porn thread, I figured it might be worth sharing my joy as these are regarded with near divine devotion on Talkbass but I've heard absolutely no mention of them here, never seen or heard of any others on these shores Basically, it's a trimmed down Lovetone Meatball clone, fewer controls, more useable sounds and a smaller box. They're handbuilt (I think) by a fella named Spencer in seattle, 3leaf site here He sells them new for $199 plus $30 international shipping, which is about £140, which I think is pretty good for a brand new boutique filter, unfortunately I bought it in a rush so I forgot to ask him if he'd gift it, so I got stung for tax and handling which ran me £28, but if you're gonna buy one shoot him an email and check, it's a one man operation (I think) so it's worth checking. Soundwise I'm very impressed, it's basically what I've wanted for a while, a discumBOBulator with more versatility. It doesn't get crazy wet or squelchy like a mutron, like the dbob, your drytone shines through, but it's less subtle than the dbob, but like the dbob, this is it's upside, every sound this thing can make is useable, it's very tame no crazy speaker blowing spikes no need for a compressor, sounds glorious with a fuzz before it or in the fx loop, which reins in fuzzes that sound wild before it, unlike the tron models on my FM4 that just clipped at the first hint of fuzz I should probably stop before I rant some more, I can record some clips if anyone wants them

This is my transition setup, my groove regulator got snagged at customs so it's gonna take a while to get here: And the nightshot: EDIT: Look what arrived this afternoon (after I payed exorbitant ransom to parcelfarce........) It's good, oh it's very good, the TB hype is justified

there's 2 bass part's by the sound of it, the interesting one sounds like a whammy going 1 octave up and some delay

How's the SFT treating you? If TB is to be believed it should have sorted out your finances, bought you a bigger house and serviced you sexually by now.

Should have an update before the end of the week, my Groove Regulator has arrived on these shoresand postal strike permitting should be here shortly, I've also got one of devi's new manglers on pre-order, joystick controlled feedback loop? Hells yes

I've definitley seen them in the bass cellar, there's probably a few other places, but you're better off trying to find one 2'nd hand, they're extortiantley expensive new, especially from a shop, I thinmk I saw a Brown dog i the bass cellar for £275, you'd probably get one 2'nd hand for £125 if not less

FM4 is pretty much sold pending the usual, sorry Kev. I think I'm gonna withdraw the phaser for now, there's been very little interest and I'm getting some really good sounds of it with the hot hand. I'd still let it go for an analog phaser or an MM4 but there's no point cluttering up the classifieds

A very depressing photo indeed, what's that 5 knob pedal and how come it survived the massive culling?

might be my super bassy headphones but that sounds like a bass to me already, you'd need a tubescreamereque pedal for the overdrive but you should have no trouble pulling that off
Well, I quite fancy that new EHX Cold Hard Cash pedal Seriously though, although I like your persistence, I have an excellent multi now, which has - and I never thought I'd say this - replaced all my pedals, hence the sale. Of course I'm assuming it's a pedal you want to trade...
Well, I'm pretty sure I only need one kidney, and I seem to have far too many bodily fluids........ No worries man, always worth asking
