1. To be honest I never got along with teachers, like you, I kind of hit a plateau after a couple of years, so I went to a very well regarded bass teacher, I quit after one lesson, he made me play his way, he made me wear my bass at a certain height, rest my thumb in a paticular place, attack the strings in a certain way, I may be biased, but there was nothing wrong with my technique before that, i never had any physical problems because of my technique, never couldn't play anything beacuse of my technique, but he insisted his was the only way, I quit and never looked back, to me self taught is the only way to go, but everyones different
2. Shameless bumpage
3. If you've still got this at the end of the month i'll relieve you of it
4. Interested in trades on the tremolessence?
5. Are the gaps between the slats big enough to get patch cables through?
6. Bump for FM4 addition
7. Putting my source audio tri-mod phaser up for trade, It's been great, but I'm only using 1 or 2 of the modes and not using the envelope phasing mode, plenty of info here, I now have the wired hot hand sensor to go with it, it's very fun and the lead is very long, also got a sweatband thingy for keeping the lead neat, you can have it if you want but it might be a tad err..... sweaty. Withdrawn for now still up for a trade for an analog phaser or MM4 though Bad pic: Also selling my Line6 FM4, havent had it for that long, it's awesome, just not for me, only using 2 or 3 of the modes and the mutron sound just isn't for me, great condition, few minor scratches and one noticeable scuff but that's it, comes with box, power supply and manual Bad pic: Pretty much sold pending the usual
8. Very interested in this, I assume you're not up for shipping it, would you be able to do a meet up, probably london?
9.
get 3 whammies in a row.
I had 2 whammies and an octaver in a row, the sheer digital craziness was mind-boggling
10. It's been a strange week, my new landlord accidently threw out my trace combo (I honestly don't know how, the seething rage hasn't subsided yet) The good news he's offered to replace it to the tune of £300, I was planning to replace it anyway as I've been wanting to move to a more powerful head and cab setup for years, so I'm gonna spend the £300 on one of them and spend £200-£250 on the other (might be able to stretch to another £300) So basically I'm just wondering whats out there at that kind of price point, i'm pretty uneducated about seperate heads and cabs (understand impedance and wattage everything, I mean manufacturers and sounds etc.), general opinions one which to spend the more money on, 2'nd hand is obviously preferable, needs wise, it's only gonna see small to medium gigging, so 300w into 8ohms is probably good but obviously more is also good, cab wise i'm pretty settled on a 4x10 ideally with a tweeter or a horn, very happy with my dirt pedal set up so I'm not bothered about the dirtiness of the head Cheers

Bought alex's FM4 off him, great to deal with, super fast delivery, very impressed
12. Tis now on evilBay: linkage
13. Few new arrivals, unfortunately my 2nd daisy chain died so I can't power everything, if anyone has one they want to get rid of drop me a PM: night shot:
14. discumbobulator's looking good, I just got my FM4 from alex, the basschat pedal circle of life continues glad you like it, it can be subtle on bass, it was designed and presumably voiced for guitar, it can get quite quacky and shrill on guitar, but it doesn't on bass, sounds awesome after other pedals though
15. One last bump before it definitely has to to evilBayed, price drop to £100 posted
16. Oh man, that looks immaculate, I'm very very tempted, open to trades?
17. Sold him my discumBOBulator, great to deal with, quick payment, very understanding of my idiocy, definitly deal with again
18. This always kinda confused me too actually, as I recall they were built by a dude/company called dan armstrong, he did a whole range of effects as boxes that jacked straight in to the guitar output and had a normal out, seems to be the most commonly cloned compressor
19. I think its an XO, it was relased at the same time with the new enclosure size, 9v, graphics etc, probably doesn't have XO in the name because it's a new pedal not a new version, but I'm probably wrong Definitley sounds like a bad ground, your best bet would to power everything by batteries, to figure out if it's the diago or a pedal
20. Sounds like a dodgy ground, most likely your diego is dodgy but it could conceivably be in the daisy chain , and you're right, not conecting all the daisy chain plugs shouldn't be an issue. As for the bass blogger, someone will probably correct me but I believe you can't daisy chain the XO EHX pedals because they need an isolated supply, not just because of the polarity
21. I've always found the serach brilliant, much better than the talkbass search, which is annoying because they make such a fuss about seraching before you post a topic, yet the search is entirely useless
22. And sold pending the usual to the man with the cool sunglasses
23. Sorry man, commited to buying another filter, need the cash Also ammended the descripiton of the condition
24. unecassery/uninetional bump, just to say I'd be willing to px for an expression pedal, just a cheapish one though
25. go on, you know you want it, it's a great filter, there just aren't enough knobs for me, hence the fm4 and 2 whammies is an interesting experience, the wh-4 is up for sale btw (hint hint :brow:)
