2. They're quite sought after, grygrx of bassfuzz.com seems to be loving d*a*m gear at the moment, and they seem to be the flavour of the month on talkbass, so you could probably get quite a bit for it
3.
Why do you need 2 whammies and an octaver?
Because girls love it There is a semi reasonable explanation, I had the xp-100, then got the oc-2 for synthy goodness because I don't like the octave down on the whammies, then the xp-100 died so I replaced it with the wh-4, which I then managed to kind of fix. I'm still undecided as to which to sell. I like some of the sounds on the xp-100, but I prefer the tracking and construction of the wh-4, the xp-100 isn't actuallt fixed properly yet, so I'll keep them both for now. 4 octaves up is an experience to be reckoned with
4. Bit of a change, should have an actual board built soon
5. from america proguitarshop.com are quite good, they stock mostly boutique gear that's hard to come by over here, and when I ordered them they marked down the value on the shipping info so it wouldn't get stopped and leaving me paying exorbitant import duty, which is very handy
6. Sorry for the delay folks, but I've finally got access to a decent recording PC again, so it's soundclips for everyone! I apologize for the sloppy playing, i've probably got more caffiene in my system than blood atm, anywho, I've tried to do it somewhat methodically, all the settings are within each sample except for the one being changed, volume was constant throughout all all of them, I apologize if they're a tad quiet/noisy, just using the stock soundcard on this pc (which is actually suprisingly good), a lof of the floor noise you can hear when the mastotron is kicked in is actually inteference form the pc/wireless router/wireless mouse and other gizmos around the pc, just amplified to audibility by the mastotorn, it's not usually that noisy Soundclip 1: Subs: 1, then 2, then 3 Tone: 12 Noon PW: 12 Noon Fuzz: 12 Noon Impedance (Relax/Push): 12 Noon Soundclip 2: This is just my favourite setting, no variation Subs: 3 Tone: Max PW: Min (Symmetrical) Fuzz: Max Impedance (Relax/Push): Min (Relax) Soundclip 3: Subs: 3 Tone: Max PW: Min (Symmetrical) Fuzz: Min, 11'o'clock, 2'o'clock, max Impedance (Relax/Push): Min (Relax) Soundclip 4: Subs: 3 Tone: Min, 11'o'clock, 2'o'clock, max PW: Min (Symmetrical) Fuzz: Max Impedance (Relax/Push): Min (Relax) Soundclip 5: Subs: 3 Tone: 3'o'clock PW: Min, 11'o'clock, 2'o'clock, max Fuzz: 3'o'clock Impedance (Relax/Push): Min (Relax) Soundclip 6: Subs: 3 Tone: Min PW: Min (Symmetrical) Fuzz: Max Impedance (Relax/Push): Min, 11'o'clock, 2'o'clock, max This was with my 9v active, just shows how big a difference the impedance blend makes Hope these are useful, if anyone wants any specific settings/lines recording let me know and i'll see what I can do, I could even record some samples of my other pedals if anyone wants them, I'm in a bit of a recording mood, theres a picture of my current crop up in the pedalboard thread (except the green stache and cool cat are gone now)
7. Got this off Rich (Ou7shined) a few weeks ago, it's been really fun to play around with, but once I got over the dirty thrill of running it through all my pedals, I realised I've got no practical use for it, and with the end of term and the massive drinking that accompanies it approaching, I can't really justify this anymore, so it's got to go. Looking for about what i paid for it, which was £40 posted, i'll get some more info and pics up tonight
8. Damn you Theo.....I gave up on finding a noisebox on these shores a while ago, now I can't afford it......might be interested in the ls-2 though, depends how much I spend on booze in the last week of term........

10. Welcome to the forum. There is no escape. Very nice board you have there, how do you find the 00funk compared to other filters? I love my discumBOBulator but it's a tad on the subtle side for my uses, and doesn't have as much control as I'd like
11. Green Stache sold pending usual, Cool Cat still up for grabs
12. Really need these gone, so I am open to offers
13. Stupid damn PC, I've been squirelling away some money for a new bass and this looks perfect, I'm very picky about my basses and this is one of the only ones I've seen that i actually want........ but my bloody damn, stupid..motherf.....crap pile of a PC died the other week so I need to build a new one. Which means bye bye new bass.....
14.
Hmm, I've got one of the newer Russian Muffs (black). How much better would you say this is?
It's been a while since I had my black russian muff but I'd say this is a lot better, It's a lot clearer, less muddy, even with the tone knob all the way down, the low end is very defined, the tone and sustain knobs are just generally more useable, I remember on my black russian, there was only a few settings that really sounded good, even with the tone and sustain knobs cranked I'd say it still sounds good, and it's 1/2 the size, 9v power jack and true bypass
15. I wish I could afford to have kept this, I don't need compression but I loved this thing, sounds great, lot of unqiue features, and I'm pretty sure you could drop a nuke on it and it wouldn't even dent it, have a completely unnecessary previosu owner endorsment bump
16.
Thanks Bob, I have an active bass so I can chalk this one off. The search continues....
I'd seriously reccomend the mastotron, I've never played a b:assmaster so I can't really compare them, but the mastotron can do pretty much any sound, with the impedance blend it loves my active, and it's an mxr size box
17.
Hey Bob, how do you find the Cherry Pop? I've been looking out for small fuzzes to potentially replace my Assmaster- (pure real estate decision) and this could be what I'm after.
It's probably not for everyone, it's a very aggressive biting fuzz, low end response is absolutely superb, I think devi does market it as a bass fuzz now, it really hates actives though, which is why I got the mastotron, but I love the cherry pop and it has it's own unique sound, there'll always be space for it on my board, i'd definitley check out the rest of devi's stuff, there's something for every fuzz taste
18. Still no actual board, but this summer there WILL be, I'll make one if it kills me Crappy camera phone pic: The green stache and the cool-cat will be leaving (someone PLEASE buy them......) I was a little wary of letting the cool cat go, but the detune modes on the wh-4 I got to replace my dead xp-100 are perfect for my limited chorusing needs The rather functional looking grey box is a custom feedback looper made by Umph (Mammoth sound audio) I'm very happy with it, I'd definitley reccomend them
19. What goes bump in the night? This thread Right, some stuff has come up so I'm now definitley not looking to trade, sorry folks, I need cash more than phasers right now, it's exam time, which means heavy drinking when it's over
20. Interested in a cool cat for the phaser or the flanger?
21. More brazen bumpage, I've just dropped a lot of money on a new whammy so not really looking for trades anymore, but still hit me up with offers for phasers/trems, I'd definitley go for a phase 90
22. Bought a drum machine off him, great to deal with, packed brilliantly, took me 5 minutes to get into the thing, I've never seen so much bubble wrap Great trasnaction, cheers
