1. I use my Turbo Rat, Mastotron, oc-2 set to full direct and abour half oct-1, and my Groove Regulator. Sounds pretty much dead on to me. Although to do it really properly you'll need a Low Pass Filter with an expression pedal for the pre-chorusy bits, but to be honest I doubt anyone will notice.
2. ZVex Mastotrron, near enough to the wooly mammoth, effectively gated and a lot more versatile, can sound quite synthy

Stoner fuzz

That's definitley not what I'd call the stoner bass sound, my idea of the stoner is sound is a Ric or P-Bass into a ridiculously loud all tube head with as many 8x10 cabs as you can afford. Ocassionaly with a big muff (green russian or civil war). That's the stoner fuzz pedal of choice.
4. A pretty good live recording of one of Oceansizes new songs, the magnificently titled: "Build us a rocket then, you rocket building c**t"
5. Seek Trem finally gone, Pulp Mill still up for grabs, £75 posted or hit me with trade ideas.
6. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...s=tab%3DSelling Hey, it's worth a shot
7. Superimposer, from Oceansize's new album, I believe the word is awesome.
8. Any idea on weight?
9. Yea, my dad used to live on scarcroft road and I went to the college for 3 years, I've developed a healthy aversion to the races, I refuse to venture out of the house on race days, after you've seen one drunken guy in a top hat peeing on a dog it sort of loses it's appeal.
10. Madness played at the races? That passed me by.
11. Pulp Mill will be on evilBay in the morning. Hate to do it but needs must.
12. I'll be there , it'll be an awesome gig for whoever gets these
13.
This is the second time I have used fluorescent paint and it is just a massive ballache
You might try pointing the spout UP.
14. Gah, you are an evil man. Up for trades? I have a reasonably healthy kidney and a ripe avocado.
15.
I must say that the bobbass4k mod circuit was absolutely amazing when tried at last nights practice with my stingray, gotta back right off the vol but huge dirty fuzz and a lot of interesting resonant frequencies and oscillations going on, its a great fun pedal this! Guitarist wants one now. You have to be quite careful with the settings of the 5 knobs as you get a huge range of evil racket as well as some full on hi gain fuzz out of this thing. More raucous than a woolly mammoth, and less controllable. I was thinking it might just need a wet/dry blend control but why try to tame a rampant rhino? It's not designed to be a house pet.
Good to know the layout works (save the cockup I made with the LED). I haven't got round to building mine yet, I've had quite a lot to do now I'm back home (I believe the technical term is a s***load). Once I've boarded out the loft (seriously), I'll get to building it.
16. Gah, why is this pink/why I am I not more affeminate?
17.
65daysofstatic 'We were exlpoding anyway' Fantastic.
Easily my favourite album of this year, well it will be until oceansizes new album comes out in september
18. Seek Trem now on evilBay: here
19. Considering evilBay for the seektrem, really don't want to put the pulp mill on t'bay though.
20. Aren't we supposed to keep comments on pricing to PM? But yea, you'll find it a lot easier to sell it for that kind of money on evilBay
21.
Correct, without it you can't swap patches and use the tap tempo instantly, you need to engage the delay, hold the switch for 2 seconds then start tapping... I also go from one type of delay to another and would need to hold it for 2 second to turn off, change patch, hold for 2 seconds, turn on, then start tapping again. The £4 it cost me off eBay seemed worth it for practicalities sake...
Fair enoguh, it's never really bothered me with mine, but I don't change patches that much, I either set it to a nice general delay or knob-twiddle of oscillaty noise craziness.
22. Looking good, but how come you're using an external tap switch for the dd-20? So you can switch patches and use tap tempo simultaneously?
23. It's (almost) summer which means i'm listening to Kyuss almost exclusively.
24. It's nearly the end of term, soon all my money will be replaced by booze, which will then be replaced by vomit and shame. Hence I'd like this to be replaced by some cash.
