Nice. Congratulations. It certainly looks really nice and in good shape. Must be a proud feeling, being 2nd owner on an almost 60year old bass.

And some mighty resolutions. Thanks for sharing.

Acoustic piano ?

Have any of you tried these strings? If so how can you describe them ? I presently use D'Addario XL170-5 which are OK but the B string maybe lacks a bit in clarity. I would like to get rid of fingering noise and maybe get a little smoother feel - maybe try flats. Then these pop up as pricewise in the middle between consumers rounds and the cheapest quality flats.

If playing a vinyl record isn't enough hassle

Neither would I ever use a r2r for making pottery. But a turntable ... maybe 😁 -
Thinking about it I dont think I have seen him play in any of his videos. But he does the talking, with his charming accent.

Probably due to choice of lens and camera setup - it appears enormous compared to Mr. BassTheWorld.

Check mA rating per outlet. Some digital effects are demanding.

It could also be stolen goods ... 🤨

3 possible reason: 1. They stop gigging 2. They realized how practical multi effect units are 3. They are in separation from their partner and forgot the pedal board when they moved out 4. (Bonus) They realized tone is in the fingers 5. (Extra bonus) They grew up and started playing upright (bass, double bass 😉)

😂 Actually this is quite funny. I think the post adresses how the subtle hints to the qualities of the product are put into words. This is how they do it over there. Just like politicians before an election - anywhere, actually 😏 For what I expect from a product description this is a bit over the top but I am not into heavy metal.

Help with buzz from Tonerider pickup on Ibanez SRMD200 bass
42Hz replied to Brim Taika's topic in Bass Guitars
By going passive you don't need batteries 😁. It is also likely that the pu and pream of the Ibanez were made for each other. You may need to change some potentimeters, if going passive. That would be my uneducated choice anyway. -
Prepare as well as you can as proposed above and when you are on, be in it with all you've got, think of your brother and do the best you can.

Aren't residual current breakers required for any legal installation ? (General question) Do they exist as simple carry along / plugin devices ?

If you have bass with active electronics: how is the battery state?

Joyo Scylla + Tidal wave sounds fine, if you want cheap. The sound is innthe warmer end. The Spectradrive may be better for getting a bit more "aggression" to the sound which cuts better in the mix as it beside a really good one-knob compression (and tubedrive) also has a really well thought out 4 band tone control. I have experimented a bit with a Zoom MS pedal which (as other multieffects) tend to gain a good conveniency score. Each of these three have a sonic character of their own. The Zoom also run on battery where the other two depend on a 9V supply.

Bought Paddy777's Spectradrive. Nice communication, careful packing and shipping. Nice person to deal with - thanks, Paddy777 🙂

Ruin a Band or musician's name by replacing a single letter

For some time I actually heard the name as "Gladys Knight and the Pimps" -
You're welcome. There are some good sounding basic toneprints there, among the lot. I use overdrive compression and octave. Even if the BH has two toneprint slot you can use only one at a time. Some of the toneprints available are combined tone prints - e.g. OD and compression. This may compensate for that, if you find a combined toneprint that suits your need. I would have appreciated the ability to edit the tone prints as well. Re the laurel-resting mentioned by neepheid I have the impression that the development og the effectmotor using the toneprint stopped when the company was sold. Which is a pity as many of the basic effects are actually quite good. I am not a fan of any of the artist toneprints and I am not a fan of the over-the-top self appraisal babble in the app but apart from that. Besides the BH I have a BG combo which essentially has the same features.
-
No document on signal chain but the way it reponds to tone knobs indicates (to me) that the toneprint is before eq.
-
Neither with the app, nor with PC via USB is it possible for me to edit the toneprints in the unit.
-
Drums, e.g. overdoing double kickdrumming actually ruins the sense of groove.

I have the 115MkII, which works fine for practice and small club gigs. MkII has two freely configurable tone print slots but only one of the can be active so I can select 1, 2 or none. As I understand the MkI you can select 1, 2, both or none which is one combination more. Which is better depend on your needs. The BG250 115 sounds fine an is reasonably light and reasonably loud.
