.......a small tale about my SM58 dealing....Having bought this model online some years ago, I noticed it made a lot more handling noise onstage on the mic stand and did not sound as full than my older Shure mic. I investigated, found the Shure site saying what the weight ‘should’ be and sure enough the one I had bought was not the same weight, plus the wire coding was slightly different under the pop shield. Luckily I got my money back. However, I then bought a new Shure mic from a bona fide UK dealer and the weight was not what the Shure website stated. I called the UK distributor and they gave info that Shure change things a bit because they are one of, if not the most copied mic by the chinese and regularly get factories in china shut down that make the fakes. One way of dealing with it was to slightly change the properties of the mic in trying to keep a step ahead of the fake game and so, the problem is we are never quite sure of a Shure unless bought from a reputable dealer.

I looked into Eurosender recently and because of Covid, several couriers they list are not giving / or able to give their usual services...

If its a fine neck then of course leave it.....marking where the rods sit now ( I use one of those silver markers) and then slacken off to zero effect will show how much or little they are being used. You raised a point I had never thought of with which side needs more ‘trussing’ and my thought it they should be equally taught but then again, Ive never had a dual rod neck......anything on the Spector site?

Fender bass bridges are near the end of the body and I remember talking about topic this years ago with another bass builder and tapping an unloaded Fender type body where the bridge is usually placed, it sounded 'lighter/hollow' as opposed to tapping the body more or less where the precision pickup would go, where it sounded quite different, more 'solid'. So possibly a Gibson guitar or (Les Paul type) bass has the bridge in the best 'area' of body wood while Fender type bridge placements dont take advantage of the best area to mount a bridge.......maybe leading to the idea of the high mass bridge to help overcome this.

Eventually found one locally a grand cheaper than last years price.

I’ve had a good friend and dedicated iMac user of decades saying the same that fusion drive is heads above hdd. I think a 16 or better 32gb ram works well too.

I’ve looked at that, a bit confusing with comments online elsewhere saying certain (later?) models can’t be altered like that, only ram upgrade...

I wondered if anyone here knows of a source for Imacs that are being sold off from office closures? I'm looking for a 27" 2019 fusion drive (for music software application). I've viewed a lot of online re-sellers. Still pretty expensive agains John Lewis and Currys who have new 2019 ones only a bit above asking prices from re-sellers....any clues ?

Jaw line meets up around the ear area of bone, pressure happening to the aural nerves, perhaps exacerbated by a misaligned skeletal back. Some people grind their teeth with extreme pressure to the jaw/ ear area. My father in law trained in bombers in the war and in later life had tinnitus. He didn’t go to rock concerts!
