  1. ‘Dents’ in unpainted or varnished wood can sometimes be cured with a small square of a damp cloth left in place over damaged areas for a short time, enough for the dampness to sort of leech into the area and just enough to cover over the damage. This can help swell the wood back into shape but, it looks like your damage could be too severe, possibly actual wood pieces have been knocked out….
  2. I have a few spare B strings only of these at £5 each plus post. Taken from 5 string sets they are loose but will be packaged well. I had posted some before, can’t find the post now but I had 4 of them up for £23 including U.K. postage.
  3. A two piece Swamp Ash body from a really nice straight grain length. This is one of two I shaped a while back but don’t think I’ll get around to working on both for a while. Another fretted bass I’ve made from the same wood stock sounds really good and sustains very well. £75 plus U.K. post The pictures also show the weight/dimensions and a mock up of a neck (not mine!) to give some representation of a final look.

  4. £70 includes U.K. postage. MXR analogue chorus, all working, mains and battery. Excellent condition. Selling as I prefer my MXR digital version.
  5. What’s with that Bacci bass 🥴
  6. …….to add to my previous post. 1: I’ve also had the reply “ we won’t insure you as you might be driving Boy George home and have an accident etc etc! 2: The company used by me via the Musicians Union many years ago was a broker in North London. I discovered they weren’t getting the best price, costing me well over £100 more per year. My wife was a teacher and Aviva had links with her Teachers Union so we moved to Aviva putting her car as the main one but I’m thinking it may have been easier to insure with them as a musician because I was the second car on the policy. As I now use her car for ULEZ zone gigs, I’ve updated our Aviva policy to include her car for business.
  7. Aviva, both cars registered for business, the second car only cost an approx extra £12 for business…..actual cost will depend on what car, your age, normal use for etc…I recently read of someone who was given a fine for driving without insurance cover for use as business, best to cover all possible types of car usage insurance.
  8. I just found this, the link may work … https://propermusic.com/products/visitor2035-visitor2035?_pos=1&_sid=16c45bc39&_ss=r
  9. Available direct from Proper Music UK ……I hope the link works https://propermusic.com/products/visitor2035-visitor2035?_pos=1&_sid=16c45bc39&_ss=r
  10. 😆. Thanks for the message….as far as I know the CD is once again available but more than likely by ordering from a record shop…. As it’s through Proper Music, they may do what amp companies do and ‘ask’ the shop to order a minimum amount! I’m not sure if anyone can order direct from Proper… I might look that up but I’m in Canada Ay the mo so might be a tad difficult.
  11. Try ‘Allparts’ in the U.K. and Thomann
  12. A cracking rig, the twelves work really well and the amp will match it very well, I've never gone past the 12 o'clock output with my almost same all Markbass setup.
  13. Terrific cabs, it’s all I use at present for fretless and fretted basses.
  14. Thanks so far people….I foresaw difficulties 🥴
  15. A possible choice, thanks.
  16. Left here for past touring in the U.K. and Europe, time to ‘go home’ now……the Mono case is a double thick padded most expensive one that will be boxed.
  17. I will be trying to direct the owner to take on the majority of work towards getting his US made guitars home. I can facilitate by being home to pass the package on or to someone flying over there.
  18. I’ll look into them, thanks.
  19. I have done that thanks….I’m looking for any Basschat experience as a helping hand. If a link is given I can send it to the USA.
  20. I may be sending two guitars back to the owner in the USA, inside a Mono dual bag.Insurance is a must as they are worth a few grand. I've looked at a couple of places online, the DHL site didnt promise an easy way and another site only insured £2000 maximum. Whether the owner gets hit with tax or not isn't a problem (for me) as he will have to give proof of ownership along the way. Any ideas, sites etc would be appreciated, especially if one of you has successfully shipped to the USA.
  21. I have one, it is very good, possible to plug in your mic for your volume and eq and then a line out to the main PA ….it took me a while to sort that out. I position it on a low mic stand about 3 feet away facing upwards to me/my mic.
