Rubber feet mounted over strap buttons with strap permanently screwed on to strap button before rubber fitted? All my straps are screwed in with a big washer to hold them in place. Why am I obsessed with your bass?

This is not a criticism because I am in the process of going for this exact Oly white + matching headstock/tort colour scheme but on a 5 string J. However, there is something beautifully honest about a natural/tort Fender bass. I need to get out more.
There is very little that would give me more satisfaction than building my own DB. Sadly I am very aware of my lutherie skills and it is something which will never happen.
I would love this. Can I put my name down? I will need to get my head around picking it up, but will get someone to take it out of your place ASAP. I am coming down for the Wales/SA match but will have it out of your place well before then. Let me know where I am in the pecking order.
Thanks
Owen
I seem to have an opinion about everything on this bass. I have struggled with the ramp idea and stuff when designing basses. I hasten to add that I never actually do anything with my designs! If you want a ramp how about having a wooden casing which would house both pickups? It seems a more elegant solution. I have played with ramps and totally get the concept but they seem so "lumpy" and not part of the instrument. One casing covering the whole pickup area would tie it all in and give a simple clarity to a potentially cluttered area. Also get ears/buttons for the machine heads made from the same wood for continuity. I am getting too excited and need to go and lie down.

Hmmm.... Presumably not the ones I've got.

It all became too exciting and I bought a different set as well, just to see. Tragic.

I was never very good with words
However, on a brighter note, the gig bag has left the building
I am going through a Tele phase. I really fancy a walnut telecaster. While musing about this, I thought "hey, how about a 30" scale tele bass" but a replica of a tele guitar rather than the trad tele bass. The tele has a 25" scale. How weird would a scaled up by perhaps 20% tele (body and all) be? Obv a walnut one
I do not want to de-rail this thread, but I am looking for some active PA speakers for work (FE college doing live gigs with bands) and for church (different rigs) and would welcome opinions from those of you who seem to be using them in the wild. Thinking about QSC/Yamaha 12" + Sub offerings. Wondering about the Yamaha 15" but thinking perhaps a 15" + 1" comp driver might not be a happy combination but fancy the bombproofability that the 15" would offer for learning how to use PA systems. I am fully aware that teaching them how to not abuse stuff is part of my job, but you would be amazed at what the dance teacher does to the rig (and her ears) when my back is turned.
I have used both. I found having a quiver flapping around really uncomfortable, but I stand to play and move around quite a bit. I am really happy with the hook.
