Yep, re-housing is so easy even I can do it.

But the downloads are easy. Even I can manage those. I bought and sold a Helix FX cos I took one look at the editor and felt sad.

I have a FI. I HATE messing with software and all that malarky. But that is OK cos there are people who do love that stuff and they put the presets up for easy download. Happy days.

Help needed --- Mesa Strategy Eight:88 power transformer

Shifting some air! Nice. -
They seem to go around the 200ish over here. I am sure it is a lot of bass for that kind of money.

You cannot beat a bit of enthusiasm

A rewind would probably not break the bank if you are already looking at the outlay of another pickup. And you know you would not need to accommodate a different pickup.

The battery cover is what it is. The control cavity cover is no triumph of aesthetic beauty either.

Having said that, it does give me hope for my dream of being a luthier.

That is quite something!

I can see the attraction.

You could inlay "Yes, you are too loud" in there. You know that it would ALWAYS be useful, no matter what band you were playing with.

The Basschat way that IS!

Give them a couple of weeks. They will be fine and dandy.
-
The Basschat way, that is not.

For what it is worth, I keep going back to the flobadob originals. Nothing thuds quite like them.

I think I have a set of Pyramid roundwound string U Bass unused which I would be happy to sell at 60% of whatever they cost if you fancy them.

A very long time ago I had Boogie D-180 head which needed a stepdown transformer. I asked the guitar shop if there was any way of doing away with it. They said no. So I carried it around. Then I asked my brother who is a qualified Electrical Engineer and he opened it, took a different tap off the mains transformer (apparently!) and I could plug it into the wall quite happily. I am NOT saying you can definitely do that with this, but it would certainly be an option to look at. A proper tech (likely to NOT be your local guitar shop) could change the internal transformer in the amp and it would be all good. At this price you would be a fool not to snap it up if it even remotely matches your amp needs.
