My board only has four pedals but of those the Pale Green Comp (makes things sound better) & Foxrox Octron are indispensable.
Even with a simple P sound a quality compressor on a mild setting sounds great.
The Gibson 2015 models are notorious for having rather wide necks. You may love them and they are priced relatively low due to this and changes like the logo and robo tuners (replaceable if need be)
Good examples: Edgar Meyer, Jaco w Joni Mitchell and then Aston Barrett where the bass melodies are intrinsic to the song.
The bass: solo albums by 6 string electric bassists.
I'm after a S.U.B ideally in white. 79' Tokai w 70's style 3 tone burst and thin sunk in finish, naturally aged oroginal hardware. Has been refretted and plays very well, frets recently leveled and crowned. Neck is narrower than most P's and moderately chunky. Medium weight compared to 70's Ps
Great bass but would like a 5 stringer and dig the MM tone and string spacing.
I am in Redhill next to the M25 on the South side of London.

My recently acquired 2001 US SUB
Been playing P's for years and this sounds so much better recorded direct, it's insane.

I've got mine sat at my parents house. Great clear sounding bass. I did quite a couple of superglue repairs on the finish years ago which helped but stripped the bridges' finish which was not an improvement. I should try and get it sorted again.
I really like the body contours and cutaway styling on these, the huge headstock less so, mine has the two brown cover p90-ish pups
I love watching your threads. Most builders dont seem to enjoy repairs as much as you do but I can relate, its great to get something neglected working again (except if it's your own haha, human nature)
