MSL are taking care of MarkBass stuff now, I use the term loosely as the cost of repair will most likely be greater than buying a used MB head and switching it out. We used to play with a drummer who had a tiny little kit, kick drum was only a little bit bigger than a floor tom. Always sounded great mic'd up, he used to leave it set up in his van and carry it out in two trips!

I'm also reluctant to add extra kit, we had a discussion at rehearsal and the aim is a small rack with the mixer, two full range powered cabs and a cable box on wheels as the main bulk of the PA. We sold our van and aren't looking to run another one really, as good as our old PA was it did get tiresome lumping massive subs and a huge rack wheeled rack unit up fire escape stairs in the middle of winter.

Lack of stereo monitoring is the only thing that niggles tbh, 3 of us are from the old band where we ran a DL32r and could all sort our own mixes out easily. Shame there isn't something within budget that has 10 aux sends. Would you say a pair of RCF745 cabs could handle bars and medium sized rooms without subs btw?

Looks fantastic (motorised faders!) but way over budget for the time being. We're basically starting over but with a few bits and pieces, once we have enough in the band kitty when it'll be a pair of 745s to take care of most gigs. After that we'll probably think about a more expensive desk. I've had a play around with the X Air app, layout seems fairly comprehensive and not too dissimilar to what we're used to.

It's the expensive part that catches me out every time!

We used to use an external router with our old 16 channel Mackie so that isn't the end of the world, especially if it is just sat there working away in the back of a rack. We really don't need loads of channels and the 16 available with the Behringer is more than enough for us. The only thing lacking is enough aux sends for stereo monitors as we would need 10 for a 5 piece, unfortunately everything I've been looking at seems to come up short here. Like I said we were a bit spoiled with out old PA, our guitarist had expendable income and I'm pretty sure he got aroused by ordering expensive new PA gear.

At a bit of a quandary after a band reshuffle, guitarist owned pretty much all of the PA (now sold) and is now sailing around Greece so we need to replace what was a very capable and fantastic sounding PA. We have some active speakers and a sub to tide us over but will need a new desk before we do anything. Previously we used in ears and the two new members joining us would like to go that route as well, we will all be on wired in ears and everybody will want to control their own monitor mix. We did have the Mackie DL32r so were spoiled a bit really as we could have separate stereo mixes, I realise this probably isn't going to be possible with our current budget. So basically we will need the following: - 10 inputs - 5 monitor sends - Compatibility with Windows, iPad and Android (main mix will be on a 12.5" Windows tablet) - Reliable wireless for 5 (possibly 6) different devices - Have a pretty reliable app. - Ideally be £500 or less. Essentially I've looked at the Behringer XR18 which seems to do everything we need in terms of interface and compatibility, however I've heard the app isn't the best and the connection is temperamental. What is the extent of these issues, is it likely to be the odd niggle or is it going to be a long term PITA? I like that everything is XLR which will mean we always have spares and easily link cables. Also seen the RCF but have been put off by the use of jack sockets, however I heard the wireless signal is rock solid. Leaning towards the Behringer at the moment as it seems to be a better fit, is there anything else worth looking at? Budget can go up if needed I think.

Bongos are phenomenal basses that look absolutely awful, tbh I think all 4 string Rays look like bog seats anyway (because they do) so the Bongo is no different in that regard, it's the comically bad body and headstock design that does it for me. Genuinely great basses though, the only Musicman I've got on with in terms of sounds.

Looks like the ends of the chrome "horns" are removable there, is that where the batteries go?

Never been impressed with Roqsolid unless all you need is a bit of dust and light rain protection, you can definitely do better for your money. I've always gone for either the manufacturers padded covers or a custom made one from a local company near me. If you're using a van or transporting a fair bit of gear in a people carrier etc then I would 100% go for a more substantial cover, if you just travel to gigs with your cab in the boot or back seat of the car then the Roqsolid one might be more suitable.

The 208 looks to be the same as the TC equivalent (as is the Gnone head itself) but the 110 only goes down to 90hz so maybe skip that one. They are very cool looking cabs though, look a bit more upmarket than the usual budget stuff and the 112 looks to be more capable.

As mentioned, the Stonefield in the marketplace should be your first port of call. I love the look of the red PJB C2 and have a strong urge to get one and a TC Bam200 for a matching mini rig despite already having a great micro setup.

Almost forgot Gus basses. Not sure if those are chrome dildos or those hand rails that pensioners use to get in and out of the bath. Either way an odd choice to stick on a bass.

Gigbag looks decent as well. You would think they'd leave a nice blank space on the headstock and ship out decals to customers from a distributor's address separately, like the old Warmoth stick on logos or something like that.
