  1. Not trying to be facetious or anything but is there an actual difference between a TRS cable be it ending in a XLR or another 1/4” Jack compared to a full XLR to XLR. If not Is it purely the fact another cable that is not in the arsenal will have to be bought as to the reason why it may be a deal breaker?
  2. Only the Electra series are made in the Far East and then assembled in Germany rest of the line - all in Germany (some electronics, metals etc may be from out of Germany...)
  3. Proof is in the pudding, but regards being heard, I am sure you would be, and I can imagine it would be Quilter to PA, Bass through PA and monitors (iEM’s if you have them), and possible extra bass can for that ‘feel’ of the note. Nice pre amp, nice EQ - it’s a winner. Wonder if there is a rogue PSU out there that may do the job!
  4. With @Osiris on this one - fine for home, DI out, Power a small cab for in stage monitor if not in ears, home practice, low volume rehearsal small amps, electronic drum kit. This does a whole bunch, would pair nicely with a Barefaced One10
  5. True - didn’t know if the OP also used a pick, but the angle of her arm/hand/wrist is key and can be replicated finger style to a degree
  6. Carol Kaye’s Technique is very repeatable and wrist friendly
  7. Another for TransferWise

  10. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rub-Buff-Original-Antiquing-Decorating/dp/B00N1YHWY4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=rub+n+buff+black&qid=1567104958&s=gateway&sprefix=rub+n+buff&sr=8-1 I have used Rub n Buff wax (gold/copper metallic) to either pop grain, or give a slight sheen to proceedings. It was pushed in and then taken off mostly with teak oil. You May be able to use it and then Buff it it to stay black. I had no problems dealing it with gun oil in the usual way after I got the look I wanted, the gun oil deepened the colour some
  11. https://www.bassesbyleo.com/forum/ help is always here
  12. We are if nothing predictable
  13. Ah ok - I was just about to link normal or soft switches to you, they range from £3-15 if you want to change it. Removing the nut on the top of the case should allow it to pop out and replace a new nut should it not? Is there enough slack to do without de-soldering? If the switch is still working, I would do that, even if it’s a De then Re-solder job
  14. Click switches do have an inherent life span and number of clicks, but should last longer, which is why soma companies like Lehle have different mechanisms less prone to fatigue. You could go for another one and a clip on at the same time for a just in case, or replace the components if the rest of the pedal is fine and it’s more cost effective to get it done, and still get a clip on tuner just in case!

Hang on - let’s get this straight and ignore this if you want, but just because you comment on a thread, does not give you the monopoly on a thread, anyone can comment as they wish. Someone of great knowledge, far greater knowledge than me took the time to write a detailed reply with helpful suggestions only to be met with glib crass answers, and barely a recognition of gratefulness (a thanks emoji doesn’t really cut it) is in my books rude, and why? Probably a deflecting mechanism from a lack of understanding. And yes we used to chat and exchange information etc. Discuss bass related things with another couple dudes, like compression, but evidently it ground to a halt due to differences. Of course during this time privileged personal information may have been exchanged, and honestly Bas you are a decent chap at heart, but I don’t share the same ethos as you in a lot of areas or processes in reaching a goal, bass related or otherwise. Publicising personal information about a ‘fellow BCer’ is not your privilege. I am not ashamed of my job, but it’s up to me who I share this with and any other information about me and my family. I don’t expect or want an apology, in all honesty it would probably be for show and not meant, but really you should think about it.

Cripes an honourable mention, a new hyphenated insult or a new insult ‘doick-head’ made up and an edit on a mention after due consideration, I feel honoured to have been so lavishly ignored ✌🏾
  19. I hope that game across as genuine reading back - it was meant that way!
  20. Gruv gear recoil and vegan leather if that means anything to anyone
  21. Just rearrange to suit Horse Dead Stable Bolted Door Fled Flog
  22. And probably shorter stints due to ear fatigue as well
  23. Napalm in a good way
  24. I have to say I have a homemade P with a Creamery 58 P pick up in (they are phenomenal) TI flats went straight to desk, no amp- one of May fave sounds, but it was a small acoustic type thing - killed any jazz I had with boxes infront etc
  25. Cut enough wood out that steiny/Hohner laterally and it will be floating
