3. This,Japanese market only AFAIK.but with a Jazz bridge pickup...........my idealbass. Short scale basses without the mud.
4. Tune it before you leave home for the gig ?..........................................sorry (old topic)
5. It cant be long until Fender release a 70's style Tele bass with Mud/P/J configuration, preferably in Magnolia with White p/g...............i'd buy one.
6. I have a great dislike for poly coated guitars/basses.They just dont feel like they are made of wood to me.Thats probably bred into me as most of my male family members are/were carpenters.i dont mind a oiled finish, but prefer nitro,it's what i grew up with, instrument wise.
7. I think they sell them in toysrus,im sure i saw some last xmas.
8. "im sorry boss, pancho dropped the pallet of bodies for the new custom shop La cabronita basses" "its ok Jesus,we get more for the road worn ones anyway"
9. Yet another radical groundbreaking design from the Fender parts bin. "a bit more mass" = un-contoured. "unique body shape" erm,i dont think it's any more unique than any other Precision bass shape.
10. I've never seen a bass 150,used to use a 120,great amps.Jealous.
11. Is this 34" scale ? encore make a short scale version as well as the 34" precisions.
12. I had a bass last year with a guitar six pole piece humbucker in the bridge position,it worked and sounded just fine.

14. 1 - The machine head, glue a cocktail stick in the screw hole with PVA glue, let dry,cut flush, drill pilot hole, fit screw. 2 - The nut,any luthier should be able to make and fit a new nut, even without seeing the original. 3 - Change your present luthier.
15. Any use ? http://www.chguitars.co.uk/ under "covers and plates"

17.
Fretless bass is alot harder to play than fretted and personally i wouldn't recomend one for a beginner,
Lots of children play violin, they dont start out with fretted ones.Fretless is no harder,it's just different.
18. Im really considering going back to an EB-3 short scale type, still miss the one i used to have.
19. I dont think that you will have much luck finding one for that model bass, unless you modify a plate that has a cut out for a P pickup.IIRC your bass has a reversed P pickup ? you could get one custom made,or make one yourself, but that would cost more.
