  1. Hi, I am located in Wimbledon, South West London. I am a full time secondary school Music Teacher and hold a B.Mus (Hons) Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music degree (2:1) and a PGCE Secondary Music from the Institute of Education, University of London. I teach Piano, Guitar and Electric Bass for Beginners to Advanced, for more details please just contact me for more information. I also do one-on-one Music Theory tuition and GCSE Revision/ Tutoring for those looking to prepare for exams. All ages taught (My youngest Pupil is 6 and my oldest is 47). I am a very experienced musician with years of gigging/ touring/ recording experience and i know my students feel this adds to their learning experience. I like to identify key areas for development with my pupils and then work out a plan to achieve this. I cover Finger, Pick, Slap and Tap styles, stylistic studies, sight reading, rhythm reading, scales/ theory, improvisation etc. I teach a number of pupils who are learning for different reasons, some just want to learn songs, some are very keen and are looking to become professional musicians and some just want to brush up on certain areas, so i like to think i can cover whatever you are looking for. Please feel free to contact me and we can discuss lesson content that will be individual to your needs. I am more than willing to travel and teach in your home (please contact for more details). As previously mentioned i am based in Wimbledon but i am prepared to travel reasonable distances to give tuition. I am Fully CRB checked. Please message me for more details and I will be happy to hear from you. Thanks for looking

  8. Hi. Just wanted to see what people thought of these and whether they are good for bass? If so does which would people recommend? Cheers
  9. Hi, I have recently bought a fretless bass (which i love) and it needs a setup as the action is a little out. I have just bought some pressure wound strings for it and these are amazing. The bass is relatively inexpensive - a Vintage V940, and I have been talking to some bass player friends who have said the bass would really benefit from a new set of Bartolini Pickups. I am not particularly knowledgeable about bass electronics. If i were to buy a new set of pickups would i need to buy a preamp with this - for example a Bartolini preamp - or could i just buy the pickups and just get them fitted? I am also under the impression that there are a variety of Bartolini pickups - does anyone know which specifically are most suitable for fretless basses? As i need to send the bass for a setup and general service and i have been prompted to consider new pickups i just thought i would find out some more information before sending as i thought i could buy some new pickups and get them fitted when it gets a setup. Would really appreciate any advice/ guidance Cheers
