3. Owned many over the years , now just have these three.
4. Thank you. Along with the Japanese JV series basses Fender was really trying hard to recapture the essence of those 50’s & 60’s models . The early American Vintage Reissue Series (1982-84) was an interpretation of how Fender wanted a traditional range which would find favour with 80’s musicians. The Jazz Bass necks were exceptionally slender and fast too.
5. Kramer gave him three NS2 basses , amber , black and natural . The black one was sold via The Bass Centre Wapping while the natural “disappeared” on a return flight from Japan.

7. Greg recorded both Fanfare For The Common Man and Pirates (ELP album -Works ) using his Alembic 8.
8. I think this was the one time that dual CVQs were installed outside of Series .When this bass was made back in the eighties there appeared to be no issues with the CVQ request . As it turned out this Anniversary/Series 2 hybrid option cost Ron more bench time than installing the Series 2 electronics . The end result sounds great though.
9.
Let me know if you ever decide you want to sell this bass. What are the controls on it?
. Controls - 2x volume, 2x low pass filters , 2x CVQ , pickup selector, master volume, LED switch, Stereo/mono switch. Hope this helps.
