1. I put a breezeblock in my 1210, and now it sounds miles better.
  2.
Any comments?
What are you smoking?
  3.
The chip gives the RAT more low end and definition.
Any chance of sound clips to show this
  4. Bunny Brunel's Xtreme! Bass tuition book, which can now be yours!
  5. If you want to read the word Xtreme! millions of times, buy this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bunny-Brunels-Xtre...y/dp/0879307951 Includes CD, excellent condition No longer available
  6.
I'm new to sludge/down tempo/doom but a friend wants me to play in his band, I found my standard pups are mudding up quite easily with my custom fuzz pedal. So I was wondering what I should go for, something passive and mid heavy? I don't really want to go active unless it's a really good idea...
Doesn't sound like a pickup issue tbh.
  7.
Speakon chassis connectors are considerably bigger than jack sockets. They will require a 24mm diameter hole which will make the modification non-reversible. You'll also need to check that the jack sockets on the amp aren't directly attached to one of the circuit boards and that there is sufficient clear depth available to fit a Speakon instead.
You can get Neutrik jack sockets that fit the same sized hole as a speakon. They are locking too
  8. I had one a while ago which did this, it sounded to me like a built in compressor.
  9. A barefaced cab would last approx 5 seconds at a LB gig You either get it or you don't I suppose
I've not heard of them before, but from watching them videos I gather that they are a bass and drum duo who play incredibly sloppily and with no strict tempo and with no discernible melody?
Sounds a lot like every jazz band ever

Used to have a precision tuned BEAD, just used a 5 string set minus the G. Simple enough to do, good results when it was set up properly. Didn't even need to adjust the truss rod, the overall tension was pretty much the same but needed intonation and saddle height adjusting. It will work fine, you don't need "an instrument built for the job" Plus, if you don't like it you can just change back to EADG, rather than being stuck with 5 strings
  11. Second dibs if the Doc doesn't buy plz
  12. The 203 is a decent bridge, just a shame about the 2 extra holes.
  13.
I actually quite like the tonality of an open A string when you're riding along, especially with a fresh set. Always fret D & G's though for some reason.
+1, the open A on my Pedulla is so powerful and defined compared to fretting it on E
  14. Just play an open D with loads of distortion for about 4 minutes.
  15.
At what level would you put Chris Wolstenholm's overdriven tone on, say, Hysteria?
God help us all, here come 99000 different opinions
  16.
It's really not the right time of year for people to buy Ashdown is it? Everyone seems to be struggling to sell them!
I thought £300 was a good price to sell mine at, ended up with £220 cash. Shame as it was an awesome cab, just too big for my car
  17.
I'm intending on putting one of my Jazz basses up for sale on the marketplace, but I have one question that the guidance notes don't really help with. What does BUMP mean?
"Better Using a Mexican Precision"
  18. Where about in Liverpool are you? And what are the dimensions of the 210 please
  19. Wow, that's a great price.
  20. I've had a fair few basses, and most of them have lasted maybe a few months max before being sold on. They weren't bad instruments (apart from that Hondo ), I just didn't feel comfortable playing them like I do with the Pedulla. Currently have another Precision bass too (think this is the fourth now), which is nice. Better than the P's I've owned before, and should be with me for a while
  21.
I believe I have bought a Bass with a case, not a Bass in a shipping box. The seller disagrees. Am I right in seeking compensation for a replacement case ??
A hard case provides more protection than a cardboard box. The bass has turned up in described condition. I can't see what you want to seek compensation for, other than to try and rip off the seller.
  22. Is he still dressed by his mother?
