  1. You can adjust delay compensation on both Audio recordings or Midi track rendering these days. Usually on a track by track basis. And both on a '+' or '-' basis: I don't use Ableton, but in Nuendo, there is a slider for adjusting Compensation on each track. This is also great for Sample libraries where you want to offset start times for long notes, legato times, Orchestral crescendo start times, attack times or short notes etc... I'm not saying it's the answer to the OP's problem, but it might be worth investigating via the link I left above.

  5. Dad's car broke down in this thread. It seems, one or two would like it towed away.
  6. All just opinions, of course. To me, QJ's arranging work on 'Sinatra At The Sands' is anything but that...It's terrific, skilful arranging of the highest order.
  7. Yes, great grooves and a band I liked back then. But I think they were late 80's onwards. Not that it really matters...

  9. I watched that on iPlayer yesterday. Terrific musicianship all round.
  10. No problems here. Have you checked, or running Cubase under 'Administrator'? If not try that.
  11. Nice playing and tone. Your sound reminds me of the late, great, Wayne Braithwaite.
  12. Yves is such a top, top musician. I love his lyrical style... A few years back, he did a version of 'Teen Town' on a two string Bass (which you have no doubt heard, I should imagine).
  13. Frank Farian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Farian
  14. Top stuff...very well played. I'm listening to it through my Nearfields and I like the Bass sound. It's responsive and even sounding. 👍
  15. That Hi-hat pattern could do with some luke-warm Pea soup.
  16. I have and used Scala since it's beginning. I think it's an amazing piece of musical software. It's has a lot of very deep functionality and it's worth checking out the various YouTube tutorials knocking about.
  17. This just popped up on my Facebook timeline. Dave, miming away like a trooper with his Burns Bass: 🤣
  18. You certainly have the 'Knack' for spotting good Basslines.
  19. If that was aimed at me - My post was in jest. Hence...'Joking aside' and
