  1. It's mine. It could be yours 😁
  2. Hurry M - the UK's premier high-tempo tribute to Georgia's favourite sons
  3. First to see will buy this sentiment!
  4. It was only a matter of time before Peter realised he could make a lot more cash by just buying up the stock himself, signing it and flogging it on πŸ˜‚
  5. The story of Dan Nelson and Frankie is going to be awkward... unless they choose to skip over that bit πŸ˜‚
  6. I grew up with Joey and love his stuff, saw them on the State of Euphoria tour, but the Bush albums are fantastic and woefully maligned. The WCFYA gig in Dublin in 03 was one of the very best gigs I have ever been to (and that's a lot of gigs πŸ˜‚) Bushthrax lives!
  7. I think he released another book which has much of the stuff he left out of the autobiography, but which had featured on the spoken word tour he was doing shortly before the autobiography came out. Speaking of Anthrax, anyone else enjoying their 40th anniversary videos? They're very enjoyable. Joey is about to look really sad in the next episode. Viva Bushthrax!
  8. Maybe he's not lying when he said a guy came and collected it, just that the collection happened in April? I can't see you not getting a refund from ebay/paypal. This situation is incredibly fishy.
  9. Nice. I've lusted over quite a few Dragonfly basses in the u-box over the years. They tend to look quite spectacular and yours is no exception.
  10. The memories of Lars denying thrash (as early as 1988) had me thinking fondly of this BBC Arena documentary, which I watched countless times as a youth. I still have the old VHS tape of it somewhere. It's well worth 60 minutes of your time if you like the heavier side. Great days.
  11. Until Kreator, Sodom and Destruction came along 😁
  12. The same Lars Ulrich who spent years denying Metallica were ever a thrash band? πŸ˜‰
  13. I would argue Overkill (the song) isn't thrash. Thrash was that fast, hardcore-derived beat, combined with metal riffs, rather than punk-type chord progressions - at least that's what it was back in the 80's, before the term got diluted by lazy journalists to describe the output of a cluster of bands rather than a style of music. It was never the type of double-bass drumming in Overkill. Bear in mind the geography - thrash was pioneered in California, the home of hardcore punk and those early thrash bands were most definitely exposed to it. You combine that fast beat with the riffs of the likes of Judas Priest, Maiden, Motorhead, Venom and NWOBHM and you get thrash. Singling any of them out for individual credit is quite wrong, in my opinion. 14. You might say that doesn't... bode well for the new poster πŸ€” I'm so sorry, so very sorry!
  15. This foxy Blade B4 which got even foxier when I installed a Sadowsky preamp. I really want to play this thing fully cranked.
  16. That's a foxy SR, congratulations. I have an 89 SR800LE too, wonderful basses.
  17. There is a glaring national omission in Devin Townsend's tour schedule next year., even though the gap after the first date is there for a reason. I'm guessing there are still some logistical hurdles to be overcome before he can announce any UK dates?
  18. The early hoo-haa over them was very funny. The demo got a lot of kvlt interest and they released a 7" for Elisabeth, I think. Once they started getting popular and the pop sensibilities started to shine through, the kvlt elite started having a meltdown. I saw a video of one chap burning his copy of the 7" πŸ˜‚ What a plonker. Anyway, when I think heavy, I usually think this album. Heavy as a very heavy thing.
  19. Just as well he didn't call it 'bad', I suppose 😁
  20. Whatever the details are, calling it mint isn't exactly accurate.
  21. They were plagiarised and settled out of court
  22. If you like the feel of it, why not just try a different pickup and/or different electronics?
  23. Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein? Maybe they got the idea from the UK's points tally at the Eurovision? Too soon? πŸ˜‰
