  1. Thanks, I love this. It's really pleasant to the ears. I reminds me of Erkan Oğur playing classical Turkish music on fretless guitar.
  2. Thanks everyone and extra special to @HumblePie as I'm a huge fan of Anthony Jackson.
  3. Christian NOGUERA can "fretless" it with maple lines for 135 Euros. I know the price as I already asked him...

I've pictured everything as usual, but if you want more photos, just ask.
  5. Everything is clearly explained in the article linked by @Sibob. In fact, it took me years to understand why I couldn't stand the piano until a skilled piano tuner explained me what he was doing, that famous "equal temperament". From then, I think my brain accepted it, but sometimes it still hurts, like when a guitar player is badly playing chords, bendind notes in them without even knowing it.
  6. No, not everybody, only fretted or fixed tuned instruments are out of tune, the worse of all being the piano. It took me years if not decades to appreciate the piano, and it must be played by a talented pianist, simply because of the tension in the chords. And no, I don't have perfect pitch, simply a quite well trained ear.
  7. 1. Practice 2. Listen 3. Communicate 4. Learn 5. Shut Up 'N' Play Yer Guitar ©
  8. They are only selling crap. Beware !
  9. You are totally right. Add to that the fact that most people can't hear a quarter tone out of tune, only a few hear an eighth tone out and even less have the perfect pitch : your answer will then be complete.
  10. She clearly says that it's intended for intermediate players...
  11. Could say so, but I'm loosing my hair. 😁 Maybe see it as a tribute to his own hair "cut". 🤣
  12. I was just about to ask the same question.
  13. You can do the same on a fretless bass, I mean always playing in perfect tune. Alain Caron can play chords perfectly in tune on fretless. I've seen him playing the chords of the tune while Mike Stern was soloing (it was the classical trio without any keyboard player). It's all about accuracy and hearing. When you play chords on a fretless, you can easily hear if they are in tune or not. Well, sorry to say it, but I can. And I also play opened strings and in the upper register (private joke).
  14. I'm from Etalle ! That sounds terrific, no ? 😱
  15. I hope she'll never have to play some jazz or Klezmer music ! Here are the next 5 tips : "Always play in A on the E string, so remove the other strings !" "Never play fretless bass !" "Never learn theory !" “Never learn articulation !" "Never plug your bass as you are useless !"

The bass has been fully set up and everything checked. Non smoking environment, as usual. Asking price is £3150 GBP due to the rarity and very very very good condition of this bass. Warrior link : http://www.warriorinstruments.com/the-dm-custom-bass-nt/ Look at the pictures to see the real condition (under different lights to try to capture the real colour), which show only some little wear with a very few dings, crazy slapper scratches and other light scratches (no rear heavy marks or scratches), the most obvious mark being under the control cavity where the bass is left on a stand. The pickups are marked too, particularly the neck pickup under the e string as they were too close to the strings... I've pictured everything as usual, but if you want more pictures, just ask.
  17. Some Vasarely fans over here : great ! 😉
  18. You do ... as I told you when I saw it on B****c. Am I evil ? 🤘
  19. Who could not love Stuart Zender playing ? That's pure talent, laziness and clever enough to have stopped before it was too late. I bought my first Warwick because of him. Double thumbs up for a true genius.
  20. The dots are weird too. Did you check AliExpress ?
  21. Mick, it could also be an Ovation, as it's the same head design, but the taipiece and floating bridge are quite intriguing... Not to mention the f holes coupled to the three round holes. Very Ovation in the concept, but I'm not aware of such an instrument. I'll keep on investigating.
  22. There is nothing stating he is marketing them or not...
  23. Check this for the preamp : https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1556006 The guy is British, so it'll be easy to deal with him. And he is a nice chap too.
