  1. If you want to refinish it, it's now or never. Why ? Because nitrocellulosic colours are simply not made anymore and those stocking them are keeping them or selling them like liquid gold. If you decide to do it, go to a real Fender specialist as there are some "things" to know about the paint job at the time. Relicing or not is up to you.
  2. Yellow with alder body and keep the rest like this, but take the Haeussel pickups option : they are terrific. It reminds me of my 1971 Fender P-Bass that I had painted in pearl yellow colour : so beautiful and easy to resell...
  3. Jaco was playing a defretted bass, not a fretless, everybody knows it. B-)
  4. Would be a nice complement to my MTD 635-24 fretless...
  5. Superb looking bass with great specs indeed. I have one question : Are you sure that the intonation is correct ? Looks very odd...
  6. Usual questions : weight, strings spacing at nut and bridge ? Thanks.

  8. Too bad, but where do these people find such stupid ideas that they can't even make right ? Where ? Tell me where ?
  9. This one : http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2017/08/07/bass-of-the-week-ajr-guitarmods-psilos-bass/ :-))))))))
  10. And what about asking your child what he wants to play ? That would be easier, no ? Read what Happy Jack wrote !
  11. Worst work I've ever seen, everything on this bass is approximative... Dingwall doesn't do, but a French maker (Mermet) did one for a BCer (Naga) : https://onlybass.com/topic/89420-mermet-6-fretless-et-affinités/
  12. Bought Duncan's SWR Blue Head : everything was perfect from the first message to the delivery including the very well done secured packing. Great communication too. The amp was as described. You can deal with him in total confidence. A highly recommended BCer.
  13. It's been defretted, there are markings in the wood when the fret foot was pulled. It's quite obvious everywhere, and especially around the 21th fret place. The side dots not aligned with the lines is found on quite a lot of factory fretless basses, my Alpher is made this way and I had a lot like this.
  14. Very honest review, Mick. After your first gig, studio or rehearsal, you won't look at your TE gear the same way. ;-)
  15. Could you give me the shipping fee to Belgium please ?
  16. I know the place as my uncle used to own the Peugeot garage by the bridge (but maybe it had already moved to Latour in 2001), very calm place there where you lived. Funny, we are now back in Etalle for 3 years (after 10 years in Ethe) and I was making the repairs for the shop you mention (Pierson Musique), so maybe we've met. TV Lux even made a report on me as I was the only local luthier. I was playing in a band called Cirrus at the time. Do you miss the "pâté gaumais" and the Orval ? ;-)
  17. So maybe we know each other, as I'm 15 kilometers away from there and lived for 10 years in one of the the village just next to the city of Virton. And some 15 to 20 years ago I used to have my own repair shop...
