  1. And here something more recent. She's just so talented !
  2. Yep, not the first time there's a thread about her in the bass community. She really enjoys playing and you can see that for sure.
  3. Indeed @Graulges, that's why I have a tendency to prefer non sung tunes, because of the too often dumber than dumb lyrics.
  4. Don't be afraid, just make the "Iron Man" thing for the fun, be yourself and everything will flow.
  5. You can also have a 2 frets neck extension. No big hassle with a shorter than short scale. I've had a few neck made by Christophe LEDUC to some exact specifications with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and the cost was around 500 Euros. I think this is the higher end of the cost bracket and one of these necks was a replacement for an original 1969 Ampeg Dan Armstrong See-Through guitar (a bit shorter scale than yours and with 6 tuners holes, but also 24 stainless steel frets). I know some luthiers that could make it for half the price, but not with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. So between 250 and 500 Euros is a good guess.
  6. Plunge deep, then !
  7. The Rean should be good as they are a Neutrik (sub) brand.
  8. Why not using an original angled Neutrik instead ?
  9. Calling @Reggaebass !
  10. With an adaptor like these : https://www.headlessusa.com/string-adaptrrs
  11. Indeed @Dad3353. For those who have never seen (heard is better) them live, hurry up. It's immersive, impressive and so powerful. That said @Leonard Smalls, they sing mostly in Kobaïen, a language developed by Christian Vander, but use sometimes French (translated from Kobaïen) and often Hebrew for the backing vocals. With King Crimson, certainly my two favourite bands ever.
  12. In the affordable lightweight easy to use amps, there's the amazing Warwick LWA1000 with twin channels, simple EQ and switchable compressor. It's exactly the same power amp as the way more expensive TrickFish Bullhead 1K despite what some people pretend. Only on the second hand market as it's not made anymore.
  13. Wow, love the back ! 😍
  14. But not in terms of fans (there are too many) noise. 😱
  15. Yes, looking at the neck it seems indeed obvious that it was intended as a lefty one with a thumb rest, but maybe the original owner found the final look attractive this way or he is playing the original way with his fingers anchored under the strings... Sometimes aesthetic also prevails to the rest.
  16. Of course, this Queen cover is just so powerful !
  17. Glad it's not Sim S holes are drilled... I already have my coat.
  18. Are you sure it's still a Union flag ? 😎
  19. Another weirdo here, but I think it's a known fact.
  20. Exactly the way I do the shielding with adhesive copper @Andyjr1515, and I've done a LOT. Adhesive aluminium is a bit harder to get very neat, there I use the soft plastic end of my small pliers to have it perfectly stuck.
  21. A Vanderkley Spartan would be great : https://vanderkleyamp.com/spartan/ Or a step further to simplicity a Spartan-2 : https://vanderkleyamp.com/spartan-2/ Bass Direct is selling them.
  22. Practice, @PatrickJ, practice !
  23. Ja, aber ich denke, daß Badenzimmer wäre besser...
  24. You have to speak French and English to understand this reference to Douglas Adams. 😉
  25. Thanks for your answer @skelf. That said, I don't know either why this S. Martyn bass appeared here as it has nothing to do with @Andyjr1515 build thread. You both Alan and Andy are doing an amazing work on your own builds. It's always a delight to follow your threads.
