  1. Used to be mine. Excellent bass and the early Sadowsky preamp that has been fitted works really well with these pickups. And it's a rare cocobolo fingerboard... It was too heavy for my broken back otherwise I would have kept it. GLWYS.
  2. Sad and terrible news. Will be missing the MB1 and the comment following. May he rest in peace.
  3. Or Super Glue with accelerator. It will be harder than the original material. You'll then have to file it to the correct height and width. A new bone nut is certainly a better idea, that said. PS : I wouldn't say it has been filed too much, but rather slaughtered with a cutter or even maybe a screwdriver or a kitchen knife or a ... herring. 😆
  4. Right and the fact that time is stretchable too...
  5. Superb design, I agree. Too bad they don't make a sixer headless fretless with 18mm strings spacing at the bridge ... yet. Will we all end up playing cheapo basses ?
  6. Do call the Customs to explain your issue as a private person, so not needing any business authorisation : they will be very helpful.
  7. As I wrote, I've done a few times the other way, from Belgium, where I'm living, to the USA and Canada for repair purposes. Once all the documents are filled and that it's done the same way for the return, it's a hassle free operation. But bureaucracy meaning a delirious amount of paper, just play their game and everything will be fine. Also ask the the repair center for an RMA (Return Marchandise Authorisation/Agreement) number with the reason for it stated as this will be the first proof that it is indeed a repair.
  8. Somebody stole my hair during the night and I've got an alien getting out of my belly.
  9. Calling @Steve Browning ! I've done it the other way a few times, there's a lot of papers to fill, but you won't have to pay any exporting and importing taxes.
  10. Plus 3 days every 10.000 years to be very precise. Bloody dyslexic mathematicians.
  11. I feel for you.
  12. You also have the 28 system based on the moon, the 60 system based on minutes and seconds, the 365 system based on the sun which must be corrected every 2 years, the 5 system based on your fingers, the 12 system based on the months and the delirious royal system that has been abolished in 1999 after a whole century to adapt to the MKS system (apparently it didn't work at all ). From now on, I shall speaks in halfhands for weight, in peenuts for time based on the time between two pees and semilegs for distance, so it will be very clear. All these new measures won't be fixed, but will depend on my mood, the speed of the wind and the amount of rain per day.
  13. Measure twice twice (it's not a repetition) and drill once. 😉
  14. Looks like the fridge era has come to an end. Still remember my Ampeg SVT rig at 120 kilos... 40 kilos for the head and 80 kilos for the 8x10". We were young and...
  15. Fantastic and super lightweight basses indeed. GLWYS.
  16. Try a Kramer 450B with the huge distance between the two pickups and you'll understand immediately that the scooped sound (when the two pickups are used together) comes from the inter spacing, easily explainable by the phase cancellation of the low mids due to this ... distance.

  18. Once the intonation and strings heights are set, you could do a totally fixed bridge à la F-Bass or acoustic guitar. That would be a very good solution.
  19. These are the Steinberger gearless tuners :
  20. Just in case, real Neutrik must be stamped "Made in Lichtenstein". Now you now why they don't make mini jacks. 🤣
  21. And stands in a shoebox, no kidding. Exact same power amp module as the Americanishly expensive TrickFish Bullhead 1K.
  22. I won't drive that easily with flats.
