Then explain why the brokers offer no service at all after having taken the money... For the OP, the contract has been made with P2Go whose responsibility doesn't go further away than taking the money : there is something wrong in this system.

There's something I really don't understand : Why stubbornly use cheap couriers when you know it will also mean cheap to no service ? If it's cheap, it means someone is not being paid in the chain or nobody is paid correctly, so expect problems. A broker is an unnecessary intermediate who must be paid, so you know where most of the money is going. It's too easy to say don't blame the broker, when the broker is the "person" with whom you've dealt, nobody else, making "him" fully responsible. I've used these brokers a few times, but stopped as it was a real pain in the *ss when you want to have an information or a status and I was fed up by the usual "it's not me, it's them" answer.

Exactly. That said as a (non lined) fretless player myself, I seek for the harmonics instead of relying on the supposed position, but I very carefully set up my basses to get the best out of them and an excellent set up always makes a huge difference.

Yep, you are missing something. The harmonics won't be produced where they are supposed to be, but further one way or the other as it's a mathematical position linked to the string length and thickness. So, a badly intonated instrument will be a pain in the *ss to play and a pluck and pray for the harmonics.

I've noticed that the way I set up instruments (ultra precise intonation up to the highest notes of each string) makes the harmonics jump very very easily, so set up is part of it as well as construction and the type of fingerboard (the harder the more harmonics you seem to get). A neck through bass is supposed to have more harmonics, but I had the opportunity to compare two Leduc Masterpiece basses very close in construction, except the neck "fitting" : the set neck had more harmonics than the neck through. Funnily, my bass having the most harmonics is my Le Fay Remington Steele 6 RHT CC CAP Big Block (what a name, I know), which has a bolt-on Padauk neck with a stainless steel fingerboard (fretless) and a cherry body with a crazy cherry (CC) very thick top. The construction of this Le Fay is interesting too as it's a headless with a headstock and strings posts with a bigger body than usual. All my main basses are sixers around 4 kilos (a bit more or a bit less), so construction or craftsmanship is also definitely another parameter to take into account as they are lightweight.

I sold a high end bass from Belgium to the U.K. I used FedEx Express and did all the paperwork, but FedEx Express is taking care of the customs clearance, and will help you to create the CN23 and the pro forma invoice. So it was picked up at my home in the deep South of Belgium on Thursday the 6th of January and delivered on Monday the 10th in Berkshire, so on week days it's a 48 hours delivery. I don't know how much were the customs duties as it was paid by the recipient.
