1. last night I got paid to go to a beer festival and drink free beer and do a gig with my mates. Living the dream baby
2. Being able to twirl the drumsticks while keeping time.
3. Absolutely no interest in going as a punter, but would love to play there.
4. If it's not good enough for Pino anymore it's not good enough for me.
5. No need to go through the PA then? Bootsy is the man though.
6. The Boss ME-50B has a patch which is bass with overdriven signal an octave higher. The original signal can be dry and you can control the distortion levels. Great for playing Iron Maiden songs if you only have one guitarist!
7. IIRC The Police got their deal, because they decided to play when only 3 people had turned up. One of them was the A&R guy who signed them.
8.
how many of your english kilograms is it?
Not sure about kilograms but about 44lbs. It's a Peavey it's heavy.
9.
Just to let you all know that I've listened to all the mixes and voted for my favourite one at some point during the last week. There's a lot of interesting interpretations, and I'll give you all my full views once the results have been announced.
Have the rest of the band heard them?
10. for me it's about convenience. One pedal or fx unit to rule them all as it were. As I play bass and guitar I'm current using a J-Station as it has amp sims for both and fits nicely in my gig bag.
11. Replied to pm's. Old Horse Murphy was first, so sold if he likes what he sees.
12. bought from John, and kept for a project that I've never got around to. will put pics up later.
13. once the voting is in, it will be interesting to find out which BRX and the band favour.
14.
I really liked the loudest one ;-)
me too, which is why i listened to them all first with headphones, and then cranked up through my studio monitors. Kudos to all who did the mixes. I may have studio monitors, but it's all i can do to switch them on.
15. for me it was between 6 & 9. 6 edged it for having slightly more b0ll0x. IMO of course.
16. machine gun etiquette for me. Great bass riff to kick the album off on Love Song. Love the Damned in all of their inceptions. Probably the band i've seen live the most.
17. Fendery, fat Jazz?
18. i use 11's, i play lead with plenty of bending. The only reason i'm not using 12's is because i can only find packs with wound G strings. What do you guys using 12 & 13's use?
19. no interest in this amp then? consider i suprised. Ideally i'd like to hear one in a gig situation (bass) or at least be able to try one but really wind up the volume.
20.
Yep, the Malcolm Young Technique of keeping it tight and simple is one that is overlooked by many, and not just on guitar.
Wouldn't necessarily call Malcolm's playing simple. He often uses inversions and different chords voicings. It's one of the reasons there are so many bands doing bad AC/DC covers. edited due to typo's. I'm tired.
21.
its not a fender so of no interest to anyone but me it seems. oh well never mind
Tim?
22. Thanks, but no ta Homer. Decided to withdraw from sale. Although I'm not gonna use it, it's too nice to sell. Not logical I know.
23.
I love the Smiths but Morrissey is definitely a bit up himself.... Another opportunity to post a link to a classic bit of viz... http://www.omg-ponie...issey-is-a-twat
i still have that issue.
