    Yup. It's basically a hook on a spring. Clamps the string for an E, unclamp for open D.

    too many to remember. But many years ago at the end of a particularly good gig, I raised my bass upwards in triumph... Only to be suddenly covered in fragments of the polystyrene ceiling tiles I'd just put the head stock through.

    Are you sure you wouldn't rather be having beer spilt on you at a half full Dog & Duck while pished up punters fall into the PA speakers?

    Over the years I've owned, played, and gigged, valve, old, modern, heavy, and light (including Trace and Ampeg) For the last few years my TechAmp Puma 500 has been my amp of choice. Plenty of heft, sounds great and I can feel the bass through my 2x12. IMO. YMMV. (and very good for metal )

    Seen the Shads' a few times. First was in the 80's when I was very much into my heavy metal. Hank was/is amazing and could shred as well as any metal guitar player. Obviously not during Apache (etc) 😝 but at times during the gig he let rip on guitar and wow 😎

    Yup. There's a little level so I can have the open E or D. The idea was stolen influenced by the Kubicki Ex-Factors I used to have.
