  1. I had the 350w version. Built like a tank, never let me down, loud enough for any gig. Heavy though 🙃
  2. i have various OBBM cables, so need never replace what I already have
  3. Bu993r3d if I know! 😆
  4. Psuedo-intellectual bollox, if you ask me But I managed to find this: On a final note, a bar of 4/4, 5/5, 6/6, 7/7, 8/8, 9/9, 145456/145456 all have the same duration - one whole note, one semibreve.
  5. Not seeing any examples of non-standard. Any time signature with a bottom number of 2, 4, or 8 is pretty standard So here's an example which has a section in 5/5
  6. It arrived yesterday. I've been having a fiddle. - hate Apple - love Garageband Garageband seems to just work. I plugged in my midi keyboard and was instantly playing the instrument I selected. No worrying about sample rates, Audio Thread Priority, or ASIO, etc (none of which I have a clue about). As for Apple, I do not want an Apple account, user ID, or any 'services' they provide. I just want to use Garageband.
  7. if I hadn't bought what I just have, I would have had this. A week ago and it would have been mine. Always the way... GLWTS!
  8. I don't think it can be classed as a good point in life, when rehearsal studios are nicer than where you live
  9. Have you had a google of 'Best free VST's'? There is some amazing 'pro-quality' stuff out there for free.
  10. very nice
  11. Classic FM at the moment.
  12. And we'll really shake them up When we win the World Cup 'Cause Scotland are the greatest football team - if ever there were lyrics which epitomise the thread title...
  13. wow! Don't think I've seen a headless explorer. Like it though
  14. it's only got 2 USB slots, so I'm guessing I'm gonna have to buy a couple of Thunderbolt leads? My midi keyboard and Line 6 GX have different connections though.
  15. cheat, and use a really heavy noise gate!
  16. it took me a good while to learn it, and if I don't play it regularly I need to practice it a lot to get it back up to scratch. Economy of motion works for me, so the intro's are played at first position, and the verses all at 8th position. As others have said, it's about nailing the groove, plus it helps to have a pretty great drummer to play with.
  17. ta! It seems to be about £200 under what they usually go for. And for what I want it for, I can live with the staingate. The seller is in Basingstoke, so I have to hope that UPS don't destroy it in transit!
  18. bump
  19. gorgeous blonds don't feck around. Regarding the ledger lines, I know middle C so then it's just like reading the treble clef - or thinking of it like piano score. This approach may not work for everyone. (and yes, I'm aware the bass is transposed down so those notes would not be as sounded in the treble clef)
  20. An Irish Drag act, the Drag O' Queens?
  21. hah! got to get it first. I've messaged the (business) seller to see if I can collect in person if possible (if they are anywhere near that London). I can't see from their seller information where they are.
  22. i've won, and it ended up at £348.00. Apple MacBook Pro Retina 13.3", i5 @ 2.4GHz, 256GB SSD, 16GB RAM Late 2013 A1502, albeit with a touch of staingate.
  23. 2 reviews in total, both five-star, yet an overall score of 3.8 and four-stars? I'm no maths genius, but I know how to work out a percentage, so how's that work then?
  24. I'm still confused as to what has actually happened. Were prices fixed high or low?
