Up for sale my 1974 Fender Jazz Bass with a Black finish in very good condition. Used to belong to Simon Rix of Kaiser Chiefs. Maple neck and fingerboard with pearl block inlays and White binding. Other than some touched up solder and the missing metal covers this is all original including the case. This is an excellent bass, with a nice slim neck. I personally love these Maple neck Jazz basses. This bass has tons of tone and the sound is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings with loads of top-end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together. The body finish has play wear with a few larger scuffs around the edges and some lacquer checking. The neck is very clean and the binding is all intact. The frets are very clean having been dressed recently and have plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight. Fully set up with a fresh set of Rotosound round-wound nickel strings and a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Serial:618625. Weight: 9 lbs 10 oz. Nut Width: 38.2 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.5 mm. Sale only and collection ( socially distanced ) welcome or courier too.

Ive owned a few of the cheaper Lakland p and J basses and they are great value for money. I now have 2 Lakland Bob Glaub USA basses and the build quality is chalk and cheese. They are a much, much better instrument in both feel and sound. Thats in my most humble opinion.

So, I have just bought something I don’t need so I need to balance the books. Barefaced Big Twin. These are stupendous things, weight the same as a packet of hob nobs and sound like thunder. Was pairing it with my ABM600 ( also up for sale ) but I’m liking my Helix so have an all in one solution coming. Had a bash when it was delivered but I’ve made good and replaced the old handles with new ( one to pop on still but I have it here ). I also have some spare Barefaced paint too. Happy to pack it with the cab. No trades ta Collection welcome or can courier.

***UPDATE*** As I mentioned MM finally sent me my refund in full after filing my Fraud case with Barclays and Action Fraud. However a day ago Barclays fraud department have managed to also get my money back from MM so a conundrum for me! I now have 2 lots of money! Having had a chat with @prowla going through some options, ive sent the money back to MM this morning via Bank Transfer. I was so tempted to pay a couple of people money they have lost but I think the right course of action was to give him the money back. It means I’ve done everything by the book and keeps everything right. I hope you agree? I could have kept it and said nothing but I’m an honest guy and it would rankle with me being dishonest

Here we have my 2003 Gibson Thunderbird Manufactured in the Memphis USA plant. Sold complete with Original case which is super nice! Combination lock works and its nice and padded, even has a silky pink sheet cover, what's not to like! This particular model has seen some life and has some battle scars to show for it but nothing major. I can take pics of areas no problem. The black finish is showing a lovely aged patina, something that can only be achieved over time and with genuine wear. It's a very good weight and feels very comfortable to play. The sound is the undisputed low end roar of a rock n' roll machine. I am loving the Rippers I have at the moment and had a day with the RD Artist yesterday so I have decided this can be moved along. Shipping available and test drive welcome up in the frozen tundra of Northumberland!
