Pretty much Jazz > SVT with something in between to alter/up the gain. Fresh strings help. Sansamp VT I'm thinking for this or any number of light OD/boost pedals to up the SVT gain. Jackhammer is a good shout, EHX OD Glove is a good boost dirt pedal, Hardwire CM-2. I'm using the Caline Pure Sky which is an awesome little boost.

Really encouraging gf... Keep at it man. When my last band broke up, I was extremely depressed seeing as we did some big support slots for touring bands. I was thinking of quitting too but I put down my bass for a month and didn't even get it out the case. Very slowly over time, my enthusiasm for music and jamming and playing with new musicians started to come back and I set about forming a new band with my interest in bass sky high. Just take a break and have a Kit Kat.

I thought it was really good.

I had the ODR-1 Plus for a fair length of time and it was probably the best of the TS type pedals I've owned. There is no bass loss.

I remember using that same Ashdown combo at a gig once. Dimed master, dimed gain. Tone wasn't that bad...

Sounds like he needs a refresher or refreshment.

Er, how will you get a 60s/70s Jazz sound from an active bass with modern pickups? Buy a 60s/70s Jazz for that sound OR buy a Fender Jazz and fit Antiquity/CS pups.

Yet again older people speaking for a generation they don't understand. I come into this category but I want to be promoted and make as much money as possible. I really do not want to have a dead end job earning nothing but 'being satisfied with life'. I have the Pure Sky and there's no bass drop in that. Great pedal.
