    Just visited Grant to try - and buy - an ACG. Also played the Spector while I was there. Great bloke, beautiful Shorty - I'd say anyone who's interested can buy this one with confidence! If I hadn't recently bought a Euro Bantam I would have taken this instead of the ACG!!

    Met Grant to try and then buy his mint ACG Border Reiver. Arrangements were easy and spent a very enjoyable hour talking about basses (and bikes!). Also played the Spector Shorty he has FS as I was interested to compare with my Bantam. No hesitation in recommending him to fellow Basschat members.

    Thanks all for the positive comments. Just realised I'll no longer be limited by the 30" scale length when it comes to choosing strings for this one - no more nut changing/re-slotting either! 🙂.

    Arrived today - and I absolutely love it! It's a 2018 custom and I can't fault a single thing about it. The build quality is breath-takingly good. Nice to be the proud owner of one of Adrian's 'M' brands again.

    Just bought a top-quality Mensinger Cazpar in top condition from top Basschat member Tom. Could not have been easier or quicker and Tom was super-helpful. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending him 100%.

    As already said, that looks like a superb bass at a very reasonable price. If I hadn't just bought a Mensinger Cazpar from Polish Basschat member metallum I'd be in there, especially as we're up in Edinburgh next week and the Cazzie is £250 dearer (albeit active with LED fret markers and hard case). S-s headless basses are obviously like buses - you wait for ages and then two come along. GLWTS

    I had a lined fretless 30" SWB-1 for a while and it was a really nice player in every respect.

    I've got a One10 and, based on what I know about the GK MB500, I reckon this should be a great little rig. Although rated at 250w, Alex at Barefaced assured me that the One10 will handle "500 clean watts all day long'' so the <400w that this amp probably puts in to 8ohms will be a breeze. Actually we use a TCE BH550 through a One10 at Gillett for demo's and it easily handles the big fat sounds that our Contour basses put out. GLWTS!

    That's a real cracker Andy - love the contrasting black fret-marker blocks and the way they complement the black hardware (among other things).
