1. is it the rounded one just where the sticker touches ? or did it have a 57 style pickup originally, like a Dirnt mode
2. forgive my ignorance, but where is the original 50s style pickup cutout ?
3.
Can an employer tell you what to do outside of work hours?
Perhaps given that he's visible when not working in a way not true of most other employees and has a known short period of time for which he is contracted to behave a certain way.
4. I went to school with a guy called Wayne payne.
5. You have a very supportive wife there Is it worth seeing if there is another night worker you can jam with ? You'd be on the same schedule which you state as an issue when trying to play with day workers. Definitely don't sell any gear
6. I used to work in Macon, Georgia for a guy called Richard. His secretary was filipina and called Ephaniah. They liked shorter names and asked people to refer to them as Dick and Phanny. Honestly.
7. I always had a thing about Cagney
8. unless he inks it in as "Frankie Goes To Hollywood Relaxes here"
9. i was once in Florida and the (very pleasant) young lady serving me at the Publix supermarket had the unusual name "precioulicious"

11.
Hi Jon, This is an issue we've had with the site for a while. Drop me an email at [email protected] and I'll sort it for you. I'll probably have to delete your account so that you can set up a new one, but could also process your order off-site if preferred. Thanks, Stuart
Just wanted to say that I really liked Bass Styles and in particular "100 Tips for Bass Guitar You Should Have Been Told"
12. The bass isn't holding you back ; I used to think better kit equalled better results but the return isn't proportional to the extra outlay. My 400£ bitsa is better than I am and I'm pretty sure the fret Meisters around here can make it sound better than I do I was on minimum wage but I did a part time degree at night, it took four years, but I'm better off for it. The answer is in you.
13. Isn't Stuart Clayton a member here ? Try a pm
14. Minor issue, is that guy pictured not playing a weedy six string thing and there no bass player in sight ?
15. I have one in my zoom b2.1 - its set quite subtle and it's always on
16.
After years of trouble free service I've had a set of hand/arm problems over the past year or so that I've been able to work around but it is slightly worrying 1. Mallet fracture of my right middle finger 2. Trigger thumb in my left hand 3. Problems with my left hand little finger (very sore) Luckily these have mostly got better - however I've just been diagnosed with Tennis elbow in my right arm and am having a steroid shot in early July.. Anyone else been through this, and any hints on how to cope?
I got it and also had the steroid shot- choosing the right doctor is critical as you're only allowed three in any one area in your lifetime I got my first from a surgeon in my wrist and it was spot on. Second in my elbow was from a visiting trainee GP - not encouraging you'd think - she was nervous but absolutely nailed it Don't rest it, keep working it gently
17. I think it's been de-skilled a bit by the easy availability of in person tuition and on-demand learning materials; it's a lot less /mystical/ than it was. No one is spray painting "ed Sheehan is god" on walls like they did with Eric Clapton I'm not convinced at all that it's to do with manufacturing or quality
18. I usually buy or listen to (thanks Apple) the latest u2 album but generally aside from an occasional gem (crystal ballroom) it's a bit meh these days Not really beaten atomic bomb but I'm sure they need my money
19.
I'm going to be doing a gig with a Country and Western band soon! There may be waistcoats and cowboy hats, and there will definitely be a banjo Really looking forward to it. Any tips for getting an authentic C&W vibe?
Get used to playing two notes per bar, on a precision bass. Remember there are two kinds : country AND western (see the blues brothers movie)
20. And then the GAS and peer pressure took over ...
21. What if one gets stolen ? Surely then you would need a spare
22. I would take a spare if I gigged
