    Shoe polish on the edges a clean pan scourer to take the shine off the guard and some round swirls around the controls

    @shambo Yep agree he built my bass and it’s so totally fabulous I’ve never changed it. He was fast and fair throughout so I am sorry to hear others being treated differently

    Basically at 10, the tone pot drops out of circuit and you get a full on pup tone. There’s a slight bump you can feel as you hit 10 cheap to try

    Good advice - I used string and was about 3mm out and it’s really annoying. Just use some old bass strings

    Mine lives in my car rain shine or snow its never come to any harm ... it’s even acquired some nitro crazing

    I found car nitro on ebay in big 500ml cans lots in the can, went on well and seemed to melt into lower coats. Beware what colour undercoat you use. I needed grey to get off white
