  14. @shambo Yep agree he built my bass and it’s so totally fabulous I’ve never changed it. He was fast and fair throughout so I am sorry to hear others being treated differently

  17. Basically at 10, the tone pot drops out of circuit and you get a full on pup tone. There’s a slight bump you can feel as you hit 10 cheap to try
  18. I found a substitution of the no-load pot quite effective

  20. Good advice - I used string and was about 3mm out and it’s really annoying. Just use some old bass strings
  21. Mine lives in my car rain shine or snow its never come to any harm ... it’s even acquired some nitro crazing
  22. I think actually it depends on which eBay person you ask
  23. I found car nitro on ebay in big 500ml cans lots in the can, went on well and seemed to melt into lower coats. Beware what colour undercoat you use. I needed grey to get off white
