  1. thought a while about this one (thanks for posting it up!) but sadly large size and 15v mean it's no go for me. looks like a killer deal though.
  2. Great job. I personally prefer the pickup position you have gone with, as compared to original. Glad it sounds killer and you completed your objective!
  3. bad news and hoping it will heal up quickly - but suppose you could use this as an opportunity to work on the other hand technique in isolation.
  4. Bare Knuckle bass pickups are superb. I am a long-time user of their guitar pickups and happy to report their bass pickups kick donkey and share many of the qualities of the guitar pickups - honest, open and articulated throughout the entire range of the instrument. P/J combo that sounds great is a '58 P and PE (plain enamel) bridge Jazz.
  5. work of art!!!! stunning. I'd buy this if it were a production model ;-)
  6. top specs, some good choices there! GLWTS
  7. Hi, yes I had used it for a long time in h-s-h configuration with dimarzio evolutions either side. Balanced very well. there’s two wiring options available - humcancelling via having the two coils in series, or you can have just the top coil for a slightly brighter tone and tad less output (but with the hum).
  8. Radial make great DI boxes, but Rupert Neve DI (RNDI) is my favourite for really clean capture. LR Baggs has a nice unit for acoustics. Samson makes a cheap but effective one. I would recommend an active DI for electric guitars. Depends on whether you need to use speaker emulation (but if so remember to use an adequate load if it's a tube amp) or just intend to go direct to your interface. Assuming your interface does have an 'instrument' input setting, it may be adequate. absolute difference between top DI's and competent ones isn't huge, but again, depends on your applications....
  9. Jeff bought Fralin pickups from me, super easy and hassle free
  10. not needed. some wear on plastic but perfect fit for bare knuckle '58, and may fit others. will post for free in return for small donation to Cancer Research, or another charity of your choice.
  11. i guess bands often fear some sort of ugly retaliation when someone leaves. sounds you made the right choice. enjoy!
  12. It's 13 hole, I can provide specific measurements e.g. horn to horn if it would help. It came with a pickup I bought, I never fitted it to a bass body myself. I tried to get in touch with prior owner but he has not got back to me.
  13. Sold Mike two moogerfoogers. Super quick payment and fast comms. Deal with confidence :-)
