  1. I’ve got one of these that has done loads of service with Stray. Mine had been used as a cat scratching post, so I stripped the carpet and painted it with Tuff Cab. Light, loud and nice tone GLWTS
  2. I bought a couple of sets of the value strings recently and got to say I’m pretty stunned at how decent they are especially at the price.
  3. Having recently picked up a second Big Baby Oi and realising that two was just being greedy I replied to Alan’s ‘wanted’ add and sold him my original BBii. This involved a bit of a wait and a road trip for Alan. Comms were really good and the deal was done without fuss. Deal with confidence!
  4. Stealthy! ThNks for the comments, given your experience I’ll probably not upgrade!
  5. Ive got one of the expression pedals. Zoom do a G2fourX so I dont see why we should be left out!!
  6. Hoping for a B2fourX
  7. This thread has inspired me to get mine out for a while!
  8. That’s really pretty. Might be an idea to mention in your ad that it’s Bubinga as I think these command a premium above the ash models. I’ve got one and it’s a killer bass!
  9. Having said that, it looks like they do them for the 40's and 60's but not the 50's so i couldn't have got one anyway. Bizarre!
  10. The hard cases aren't very strong. My old one has cracked quite badly. Mind you, it was regularly loaded in the back of he band van.
  11. I’m a bit peed off - I had a parcel from Thomann yesterday with a HB board and separate power supply. If I’d realised these things existed, I’d probably have bought one!
  12. I’ve always fancied a Stingray 5 - must be something to do with Tony Levin!
  13. The weight mebbe? I had one up for sale but decided to keep it. Lovely basses and that’s a really nice top!
  14. Which is?
  15. I’ve just chucked a couple of sets of the value nickel rounds into a Thomann order. I’ve used Legacy strings for a while but recently strung a couple with Elixirs that I’m loving. I’ll see how well they last and if they’re as good as they’re supposed to be I might use those on the basses I play most.
  16. Hi Colin, I’m a Colin too so that’s at least two Colins on here! The first tune I learnt to play all the way through was ‘The Zoo’ by Scorpions.
  17. Nice. Well done for evolving into a modest (in terms of numbers) collection. I wish I blooming could!
  18. I bought an Ibanez SR305 from Steve. We were ironically playing the same festival shortly after sale confirmed so did the deal there. Great comms and bass as described. Deal with confidence.
  19. Or insist your new drummer has a van!!
  20. Nice - and not too far!
  21. At leat two of everything except cab and fx. A good Jack is to zip tie two mains leads together side by side so if one fails you don’t need to root around for the spare. Each end of ONE mains lead has red insulating tape so I don’t rig up with non connected ends!
