1. Hi, another of my guitar cabs for sale. This is a 70's bottom cab. Scruffy as the pic shows. It has the original green backs and works and sounds great. I have fitted decent casters to it. If you want it for a collection then it might not be suitable, but if you want a cracking sound I'm sure this will fit the bill. Don't know about shipping, I don't want it scratched. I would be interested in a bass of some sort in a trade etc. ]http://i62.tinypic.com/2csf82b.jpg[/IMG] cheers B
2. Hi, Thinking of selling my old SG jnr. I was told it was from around 1961 and I could well believe it. See the photo (sorry it's all I've got at present). I'm out of the country at present working. Basically it's a 'players' grade guitar in that it's only the neck and body that are original...maybe the knobs. I think the bridge etc is replacements. The pick up is a Wizard and he fitted it himself along with a push pull tone knob for extra mids. It sounds nice. The photo shows it before I sent it to Wizard. So as you can see it has been routed out in the neck position so that the humbucker could be fitted!!! I have the humbucker and the orginal P90 and that will go with the guitar. I don't know the maker of the P90 when I got it, it might or might not be from the orignal 60's guitar. There is another pickguard (black) been made by Wizard to cover the neck pickup hole and tidy it up a bit.Kluson tuners and non original hard case. Looking to sale or trade for around 695 GBP ono. Looking for a bass guitar cheers
3. Not gigged on bass yet, but Teenage Kicks was the first on the guitar
4. ooo that's getting close should I or shouldn't I?
5. We used top play that song by The Jets (can't remember what it was called now though). That used to go down very well.
6. What about the neck plate? I'm sure it just says Fender on it, but i looked at a few basses today so I might be mixing up with another one.
7. Is there anything I need to look out for? M/head type etc?. I quite like it but don't want to jump in with both feet etc.
8. Hi, A shop near me has a mid/late 80's MIJ P Bass for sale. It got signs of wear etc but not too much and they are looking for £500 for it without a case. I was wondering what are the thoughts on these basses and is that normal for shop price for those. Cheers B
9. Thanks for the ideas. I'm worried that being a guitarist for a few years might make me a 'bit busy' at times. The songs are pretty basic but I like them, that might be why I seem to be getting busy on the bass.
10. Hi, Only been playing for a couple of month so bear with me please:) I've been tasked with coming up with bass parts for some original material our band have wrote the previous bass lines were root notes over and over etc due to the guy doing it is a guitar player and was only filling in the sound to get tracks down. What I've found myself doing is playing around the middle of the neck and doing runs down on to the D and G strings with hardly any notes on the E string, and no open strings. Is this normal, or should I be looking at using the E string more down around G note and use more open strings as well? Of course it might just be the key of the songs they have wrote. A lot of tab I've looked at on the web seems to play around in the middle of the neck/strings etc.
11. gee whizz! no wonder i can't keep up with 'new content' lol!
12. we used to do a deal at our local recording place. 75 quid i think it was for 3 hours. The guy just mic'd us up and we played away like that. As you say it was just as we played live except maybe the mix was a better etc. I don;t get all the overdubs etc unless it's a show case record that you're hoping to sell for a small fortune lol.
13. I think it might be the collection only bit that might put some people off. Look good though...GLWTS

18.
That would be the one standing in the Ducati shed then?
Nope, not this time.
19. I don't know if this counts but I was once part of an audience of 4 folk. To together I might add.....all standing in different areas of the bar. Really enjoyed the band playing the music. However the bar owner had different ideas. He told them to stop playing because he thought they were sh*te. They kept playing...he jumped the bar and pulled the plug out the wall. The 'crowd' went mental, shouting at the owner to get the plug back in....he did:) I think the band was an early version of APB.
20. There must be something in the air. I was approached by a BIKE mag to talk about owning a bike they want to feature.
