Yes! I'm in an 80s pop tribute act but I mostly listen to modern progressive heavy metal. I don't think I'd know where to start playing along to the records that I listen to, but I'm perfectly at home and comfortable playing the pop songs in my band.
Love love love my Eich Amps T-900. Clean sound with EQ in all the right places (for my taste). Headroom for days. I probably could have got away with buying the T-300 and saving some money but decided to treat myself.
Thanks for your help everyone! Think I'll go with a Bahco set from ScrewFix - http://www.screwfix.com/p/bahco-long-ball-end-hex-key-set-9-pieces/3494k but make sure I don't use them at an angle so as not to overly damage any of the bridge fixings. I'll also see if I can find a buddy with a Dremel tool to re-instate my existing key for backup.
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a brand, or even brand and retailer for those really small allen keys that you use to adjust your guitar bridge? I rounded off both of the ones I had in my kit and I fancy getting decent replacements. Thanks in advance.
I'm in an 80s pop band but my setup is far from authentic. Shuker Singlecut fanned-fret 6 string into Hartke VXL Attack->Class D poweramp->BFM Omni 10
Ideally I'd have a Status or Wal going into a Trace Elliot
Would like to get into playing jazz. It's a new genre for me so I'd need people with a bit of patience. Email me or give me a call

If you're clipping and distorting the input stage of the amp switch to the 'active' input. This doesn't relate to whether your guitar is passive of active, though if active and you do a lot of boosted tone shaping in your guitar you're more likely to need the active input of the amp.
I have a Planet Waves clip and TC Polytune clip. Both are brilliant and work very quickly and accurately using a 12th fret harmonic even on a B string. I got annoyed with the plastic clip on the Planet Waves as my main bass has contoured edges on the headstock and it would ping off randomly. The clip on the TC unit is miles better.
My custom Shuker has cured me of most guitar GAS. Though I still lust after backline that is lighter, louder, lower and has increasing numbers of bright blue LEDs.
I've been estimated £640 for a new neck for my 2003 Thumb BO 4. I suppose that's not too bad considering the current retail price for a brand new equivalent bass, but I bought mine back when they were £999 new. They did acknowledge that their price was in the high side.
This thread finally prompted me to have the truss rod on my 2003 Thumb Bolt-On looked at and I've had similar bad news -
The truss rod is pretty much frozen/jammed/cross threaded and doesn't want to move significantly in either direction. I have a feeling the anchorpoint which is approx under the 16 fret has moved, causing the rod to twist
Email sent to Warwick Support to see if/what they can do to help.

Shuker killed my GAS. Ended up getting rid of all my other basses and have not looked at another for 10 years now!

Could it be that the cure to GAS is a Shuker?
